Yena's P.O.V

After dinner, we exited the restaurant, Taehyung's protective gesture lingered in my mind. He apologized for suddenly taking my hand because of a stranger's unwanted advances, this was not a big act but it highlighted his instinctive need to shield me from discomfort.

As we reached the parking, he swiftly opened the car door for me, composed yet attentive. I slid into the passenger seat. He settled into the driver's seat, his strong hands confidently gripping the steering wheel.

I watched as Taehyung drove the car in reverse, his focus unwavering as he expertly navigated the tight space of the parking garage. His hands moved with precision, one resting behind my seat while the other guided the wheel.

I couldn't help but notice the veins popping from his forearm, visible through the folded shirt. The sight of his hands, strong and capable, added to his allure.

Suddenly, our eyes met in the rearview mirror, and I felt a jolt of electricity surge through me. His gaze held mine for a fleeting moment, intense and magnetic. My heart raced at the unexpected connection, the proximity between us amplifying the sensation.

Quickly averting my eyes, I turned my attention to the surroundings outside the car, attempting to regain my composure. But the memory of Taehyung's penetrating gaze lingered, leaving me breathless and unsettled for a moment in the best possible way.

As the days passed and we both became busy in our respective works, I found myself grappling with conflicting emotions. While he wasn't exactly what I had envisioned in a partner, he wasn't entirely unpleasant either. I couldn't even be sure of myself what I wanted from my partner.

However, I reminded myself that ours will be an arranged marriage, devoid of the romantic sentiments that often accompany such unions. Yet, despite this rationalization, I couldn't deny the flutter of nerves that accompanied his gaze or the subtle chemistry that simmered between us sometimes.

With the wedding drawing nearer, my mind was consumed with a flurry of thoughts and responsibilities. In addition to managing my work commitments, I have to coordinate various aspects of the wedding preparations, from selecting the perfect dress etc.

I didn't take the task of wedding rings because I being a jewelry designer don't want to pressure others for my preference and taste. On top of that, I personally don't think it is an important step.

Amidst the chaos of wedding planning, the weight of the impending marriage loomed heavy on my mind. The thought of sharing a house, that too with a man filled me with a sense of uncertainty. What if we couldn't find common ground? What if he turned out to be someone entirely different from what I expected and what he seemed?

As I settled back into my thoughts, my phone suddenly rang, interrupting the quiet evening. With a start, I answered the call to the sound of Aera's frantic voice on the other end.

"Yena, why aren't you answering my texts? Are you avoiding me?" she exclaimed, her tone filled with concern and frustration.

I felt a sense of guilt as her words sank in. How could I have forgotten our plans to meet at the club tonight? "I'm so sorry, Aera," I apologized quickly. "I completely forgot about our plans. I'll be there soon."

Rushing to pack up my work, I made my way home to quickly change into something suitable for a night out. Opting for a simple black sleeveless dress, I knew that when in doubt, black was always a safe choice. With my purse in hand, I called for the driver, knowing that neither of us would be in any state to drive by the end of the night.

(Yena's black dress is in the starting of chapter)

Meeting Aera outside the club, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of a night filled with laughter and drinks. As we entered the unfamiliar venue named Cartel, I took in the ambience with curiosity. The sound of glasses clinking and music playing in the background added to the lively atmosphere.

"Yena, I chose this club because it's quieter here. We can enjoy our drinks and conversation without being overwhelmed by noise."

"That's thoughtful of you, Aera. Thanks."

"It's only a few days of your independent life, sweetie, so let's make the most of it. Married Yena will be too busy managing work and personal life to hang out with me." She smirked while teasing me.

I chuckled at her baseless thought and said, "Alright, bestie. Let's drink until we're no longer sober and forget all our worries."
I knew that Aera's alcohol tolerance was pretty high compared to me. Soon the bartender placed our drinks and we started drinking and chatting about stuff.

Aera, I said, "I'm going to the washroom real quick. Be back in a minute."

As I made my way after returning from the washroom, I accidentally bumped into a muscular figure. He was tall, with piercings, and seemed familiar yet unknown at the same time. Maybe it was the tequila talking, but somewhere in my head, a tiny voice whispered, Dangerously handsome stranger alert! It was my brain talking. Despite trying to recognize him, the alcohol in my system was making it difficult to think clearly. I quickly apologized and hurried back to Aera.

Meanwhile, across the hallway, Jungkook froze like a statue. The woman he'd just bumped into that smelled like lavender and vanilla - wait a minute, that was Yena, Taehyung's fiancée! He watched her disappear into the crowd, his heart hammering in his chest.

Despite recognizing her immediately, he couldn't believe the coincidence. After she walked away, he returned to the private space where he, Jimin, and Taehyung were hanging out.

"Ya, Jeon Jungkook," Jimin asked, observing Jungkook's stunned expression. "What's with the deer-in-headlights look? Did you see a ghost?"

Jungkook blinked, trying to process what had just happened. "Hyung, is it... is it just me, or are people appearing out of thin air tonight?" he stammered, running a hand through his hair.

Intrigued by Jungkook's cryptic words, Taehyung looked up from his phone, a frown creasing his brow. "What are you talking about, Jungkook? Speak clearly, would you?"

Jungkook hesitated, torn between disbelief and the need to share his discovery. Finally, he blurted out, "Hyung, I think... I think I just saw her."

"Her? Who?" Jimin pressed, his eyes being curious.

Jungkook took a deep breath, his voice barely a whisper. "Yena. I... I'm pretty sure it was Yena."
Jimin's eyes widened. "Yena?! Like, Taehyung's fiancée, Yena!

Jungkook nodded, his expression serious. "Yes, I'm sure. It was her." he clarified, scratching the back of his head.

Jimin and Taehyung exchanged a glance, their curiosity piqued.
