Yena's P.O.V

As the last week unfolded, my life seemed to have been thrown into a whirlwind of unexpected changes. Each day brought new developments, each moment seemed to bring me closer to the reality of my marriage to Taehyung.

Today was no different. It marked our second supposed "date," where we were meant to meet for dinner. However, this time, Taehyung insisted on picking me up from my office. The thought of him waiting for me outside sent a flutter of nerves through my stomach.

Amid the chaos, I found peace in my work. Sketching out the final details of an unfinished piece allowed me to lose myself in the creative process, if only for a moment. But soon, reality came crashing back as I turned my attention to the work from our last collection that still needed to be reviewed.

As the evening approached, I glanced at the clock, noting that he would arrive at 7 pm, still it's half an hour. I couldn't help but feel a mixture of anticipation and apprehension at the thought of our impending dinner. Would tonight bring clarity to our situation, or would it only serve to deepen the uncertainty that lingered between us? Only time will tell.

I sat at my desk, immersed in the flurry of emails and reports that demanded my attention. The evening sun filtered through the window, casting long shadows across the room as the day slowly began to fade into the night.

Suddenly, the sound of someone plopping down on the couch opposite me snapped me out of my concentration. I looked up to see Jungkook grinning mischievously, his presence an unwelcome interruption to my work.

"Hey, Hyung," he began, his tone teasing. "I know how eager you were to pick up Yena for a dinner date tonight. Are you falling for her?"

I resisted the urge to roll my eyes, knowing that Jungkook's relentless teasing was only just beginning. "Jungkook, you know better than anyone that I have more important things to worry about than dating," I replied, trying to keep my tone even despite the annoyance bubbling within me.

He chuckled, unaffected by my declination. "Come on, Hyung, don't play dumb. I can see it in your eyes. You're smitten," he teased, leaning back on the couch with a smirk.

I sighed, rubbing my temples as I tried to maintain my composure. "Jungkook, you know better than anyone that it's not true," I insisted.

But then Jungkook's next comment caught me off guard, his words striking a nerve. "Seriously, Hyung, if you're not interested, why did you insist on picking her up for dinner?" he pressed, his expression curious yet knowing.

I felt a surge of frustration at his persistence. "It's complicated, Jungkook," I replied precisely, hoping to end the conversation before it delved any further into uncomfortable territory.

But Jungkook wasn't ready to let it go, his curiosity getting the better of him. "Complicated how?" he pressed, his tone insistent.

I sighed, knowing that I couldn't avoid the question any longer. "My mom," I admitted reluctantly. "She threatened to send my childhood pictures to Yena if I didn't agree to pick her up for dinner."

He laughed, a knowing smirk spreading across his face. "Ah, I see," he said, nodding knowingly.

I raised an eyebrow, after realizing Jungkook's unexpected presence. "What are you doing here at this time?" I asked, my curiosity piqued.

Jungkook grinned, his smile stretching, his bunny teeth peeking through. "Your technical team needed some assistance, and I thought I'd lend a hand," he replied cheerfully. "After all, I'm always willing to help out my Hyung's team."

"Thanks, Jungkook," I said sincerely, appreciating his willingness to pitch in. "I'm sure they'll appreciate your expertise."

I felt grateful for Jungkook's support, even if his teasing could be insufferable at times.

As I bid farewell to Jungkook, I swiftly packed up my work and headed towards Vista, her atelier to pick her up for dinner.

Upon arriving, I waited outside for a few moments until Yena emerged, my eyes instantly went in her direction. She was engaged in conversation with someone from her team, her brain seemed focussed on talks. When she finally approached my car, her smile sent a flutter of excitement through me.

She greeted me warmly, I opened the car door for her. As we drove to the restaurant where we were to have dinner, the atmosphere between us was comfortable, the silence filled with a sense of anticipation.

In what felt like no time at all, we arrived at our destination, and I escorted Yena inside, feeling a rush of mixed emotions at the prospect of spending the evening together.

As we made our way to our reserved table, a man suddenly approached me, his forward gesture and questioning tone catching me off guard. "Hey miss, are you by chance, single?" he asked, extending his hand towards me with a card in it. Taehyung was a few steps ahead of me, and I felt a surge of confusion at the unexpected proposition, rendering me momentarily speechless.

Before I could gather my thoughts to respond, a deep voice cut through the air, drawing my attention. "She's not single, she's my fiancée," Taehyung's voice rang out, firm and commanding. With that declaration, he swiftly took the card from the man's hand and crumpled it in his fist, his expression showing annoyance.

Feeling a rush of warmth spread through me at his protective gesture, my cheeks started heating up as Taehyung grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, leading me towards the dinner table, I couldn't help but feel a spark for his reassuring presence by my side.
