Vaiga's pov!

I looked out through the window, at the bustling city nightlife of Bangalore much opposed to my hometown, Thanjavur's agricultural landscape and the rich and cultural heritage.

Life is so very unpredictable.

I am a living example of that for the last few months.

From the moment I found out I was pregnant, my life had spiralled out of control and now here I am in Bangalore, miles away from my hometown.

I could still feel the shock when Anjana Maa asked me if I would like to come to Bangalore with them.

My immediate answer was a no. But then Appa, Anjana Maa and Niranjan Uncle convinced me. And I too needed a change. Having baby Kriti for myself for a couple of months was the added bonus in all this.

I looked down at the little girl, sitting in my arms, trying to reach out to the zip on the back side of the passenger seat cover. She had slept through the flight to Bangalore and woke up after landing. And now, we are on our way to the Agnihotri family home.

As the car made its way through the bustling streets of Bangalore, I couldn't help but feel a sense of disorientation. The cacophony of honking horns and flashing lights stood in stark contrast to the serene simplicity of Thanjavur, my hometown.

Yet, amidst the chaos, I found solace in the warmth of baby Kriti nestled in my arms.

Anjana Maa glanced over at me, her eyes filled with concern.

"Are you alright, Vaiga?" She asked gently, her voice breaking through the haze of my thoughts.

I nodded, forcing a smile.

"Just taking it all in," I replied, my gaze drifting back to the window. Anjana Maa reached out and squeezed my hand reassuringly, a silent gesture of support that spoke volumes.

As we continued our journey, Anjana Maa leaned towards me, a soft smile playing on her lips.

"You know, Vaiga, Bangalore may seem overwhelming at first, but it's a city full of charm and character," she said, her voice filled with warmth.

I nodded, grateful for her reassuring words.

"It's just so different from Thanjavur," I admitted, my eyes flitting nervously to the bustling streets outside.

Anjana Maa chuckled softly.

"Oh, I know it must feel like a world away, but trust me, you will come to love it here," she assured me, her hand reaching out to squeeze mine in a gesture of comfort.

Finally, we arrived at the Agnihotri family home, a sprawling mansion nestled amidst lush greenery.

Memories of my previous visit flooded back, the opulence of the house had left me speechless back then. It was a stark reminder of the stark contrast between my own humble upbringing and the privileged world of the Agnihotri family.

Taking a deep breath, I stepped out of the car, baby Kriti cradled in my arms. I followed Anjana Maa closely behind, her reassuring presence grounding me amidst the grandeur of the surroundings.

As we entered the house, I couldn't help but feel a pang of nostalgia. It had been a few years since I last set foot in this place, yet the memories were still vivid in my mind. I remembered the awe and disbelief I had felt at the sight of the lavish furnishings and extravagant decor, a far cry from the simplicity of my own home.

Lost in thought, I barely noticed the approach of Siddharth Agnihotri, the second son of the family. He greeted us with a warm smile, his eyes lighting up as he caught sight of baby Kriti.

Third person's pov!

As Siddharth approached Kriti, her face lit up with a toothless grin, her chubby arms reaching out eagerly towards him. She cooed with delight as he scooped her up into his arms, her tiny fingers grasping at his shirt with a sense of familiarity.

Vaiga watched them in awe. It was so very evident how close these two are.

Siddharth chuckled, his heart swelling with love at the sight of her joyful expression.

"Hey there, honey bun," he greeted, his voice soft and tender as he nuzzled her cheek.

Kriti responded with a series of happy gurgles, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she basked in the warmth of her uncle's embrace. She reached up to pat his cheek affectionately, her small hand exploring his face with a sense of curiosity.

"Did you miss me, sweetie pie?" Siddharth asked, his voice filled with affection as he looked into her bright eyes.

In response, Kriti simply giggled, her laughter filling the room with its infectious warmth. She snuggled closer to Siddharth, her tiny body radiating with happiness at the reunion.

Siddharth smiled, his heart melting at the sound of her laughter.

"I missed you too, little one," he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head.

Siddharth turned to me, his expression curious.

"And who do we have here? Are you the one Momma mentioned she is bringing home?" Siddharth asked and Vaiga nodded, feeling a flush of embarrassment creep up her cheeks.

"Yes, that's me. Vaiga." I replied softly, my voice barely above a whisper. Siddharth's eyes widened in surprise, a flicker of recognition crossing his face.

"Vaiga? The same Vaiga who was a non-stop chatter box the last time she came here? You seem a bit quieter than I remember." Siddharth said curiously.

I couldn't help but smile at the memory, the contrast between my past self and the woman I had become striking.

"I guess life has a way of changing us," I said with a shrug.

Siddharth nodded in understanding, his gaze lingering on me for a moment longer before turning back to Kriti.

"Well, it's lovely to have you here, Vaiga," he said warmly, his smile genuine.

"I am sure you will find plenty of adventures waiting for you in Bangalore." He added.

At the exact same moment, Abhay Dev Agnihotri walked into the house.

"That's my elder brother.." Siddhu whispered and Vaiga nodded in understanding.

Abhay stopped for a moment seeing a new face. Then his eyes flickered to his daughter for a moment and an unknown expression flitted through his eyes. He immediately averted his eyes and hurried up the stairs, without even coming towards his daughter, shocking Vaiga. Neither did baby Kriti have any excitement seeing her father, as compared to her reaction on seeing her uncle.

"Why didn't Dev ji pick up his daughter?" Vaiga asked, unable to hide her shock.

"Dev?"
