4 hours.
It had been four hours and no sign from Barry or Linus.
Alice feared the worst.
And Barry was certainly dead.

Alice started trying to find a way to save herself now.
She'd managed to kick a knife towards her to cut the ropes.
It seemed it had been placed there strategically, as if whoever had threatened them wanted her to escape.
She didn't have time to think about that now.

Alice cut the ropes away from her raw skin. It burned as the ropes rubbed the cuts on her wrists, but she was free.
Her eyes darted around, making sure it wasn't a trick.
After clearing the area, she stood up. The pain in her ribs nearly too much to bear.
Walking towards the door, she shuttered.
Another gunshot.
And another.
And another.

Alice's heart sunk. She knew for sure Linus was gone now.
He was the only one left.
She bolted out the door with her eyes full of tears.
So blurry she couldn't see anything.....

Alice hit the ground with a hard landing.
Upon opening her eyes, she was met with the sight of blood.
Alice looked up, afraid of what she might find.
There she saw no one other than Linus.
He was leaned over on the ground. A look of pain in his eyes. A dribble of blood exiting his mouth.
He was hurt.
He groaned as Alice swiftly moved, laying him down on the ground.
His shirt was covered in blood. She had to act fast.
She took off her flannel, pulling it around his waist and tightening it. That should hold him over.

With an arm around him to hold him up, Alice helped him to the car and laid him in the backseat.
She had to go find Barry, just in case he was still alive.
