CHAPTER 13

The sudden move of eda took shubman off-guard.  'she pulled him into an hug' and this was the moment when shubman heart suddenly stop beating for few milliseconds it felt as if this heart skipped few beat's

" I'm fine Shubman look at me I'm totally fine....it was just an small injury and you know that how common it's to have an injury for an sports player"
Eda said with tone of assurance to make him feel at peace

" Sometimes small injury can lead to many things eda.....you might have lost you carrier if anything bad happens " shubman sounded worried

"I get what you are saying but look I'm fine" she assured him patting on his back close to his shoulders

"Now listen " eda said breaking hug  " I have to talk to you after match ...call me when you are free "
Shubman tried reading eda's face but he failed
"You leave first I'll be back in 5 min " shubham left the change room in a confused and worried State

Indian team did an spectacular job in fielding everything went smooth but shubman had this weird feeling the whole time but he managed to not let that effect his game

Eda was player of the match after interviews they all went back to the hotel they all had their regular meeting after sometime they had their dinner and went back to their rooms

Shubman texted eda to meet him at pool since as she mentioned earlier she wanted to talk to him
Shubman was waiting for eda at the pool side talking to and fro, his steps were stopped by an sound of footsteps it was eda

" What you wanted to talk about.....am I going to get rejected?" Shubman said in an comic trying to ease the situation but it was clearly not helping " about the thing which you spoke to me few day's back that you love me....why do you love me? Give me an proper reason" eda said seeing into Shubman eyes

Shubman started to take steps towards eda
" you were there with me when I needed a person to be with me not physically but emotionally and morally, our first meeting was of only for an hour but still you understood my state of mind more than I could do, the word's you spoke were the greatest driving force I had during my adverse phase I'm not only taking about my after breakup phase but also during test series when I felt everything was falling apart I was at my weakest point but it was your moral support that helped me eda"

"The more I get to know you the more I kept on falling for you eda, I wanna cherish you for life long,
I wanna stay by you whenever you need a shoulder to relay on, I want to reciprocate you all the strength you gave, I want to be yours eda"

By the time Shubman's word's ended the only thing he could see was a thin line of tears in eda's eyes
He hated tears in her eyes as much he loved her
He raised his hand and caressed her right cheek wiping her silent tears "what happen eda?" He asked softly

Eda held his left hand which was on her cheek wiping her tears and said"any girl would be lucky to have a guy who love her to eternal "but  retreat his hand from her cheek and left his hand
" But loving me would only give you an eternal pain
I don't deserve your love Shubman "

Eda started to move away from him but her step's were stopped by Shubman's hand holding into her's
"Give me a proper reason eda why don't you deserve me " shubman asked holding intlo eda's shoulder's stronger

"Because LOVE NEVER LASTS FOREVER shubman
It only hurts in the end, you start to drift appart from the person you love ...the best example is you...you loved sara but what happened? You both didn't have those feeling after few years "

"Just imagine what would happen if one of  you still had the feeling of love but the other one didn't have those feelings its an living hell shubman and I don't wanna experience an broken marriage or love in my life again because I'm done with this thing called love which fades with time"

" I grew up crying watching my parents fight for whole night thinking that I was asleep I don't wanna be in that situation again or let anyone face it"

"I don't believe in love Shubman then how do you expect me to say I LOVE YOU ....I can't " eda broke into cry

A sudden silence filled the pool area shubman pulled her into an hug at the beginning eda resisted but after few attempts she stopped " take deep breath eda ....calm down" he said slowly stroking her head

After few minutes eda finnally calmed herself down

"You are making it hard for me shubman stop being nice and supportive towards me ....I'm an living mess ....if we both get into an relationship it won't even last for few months you'll get bored and annoyed of me and at the end.... YOU'LL LEAVE ME "

he could sense the feeling eda was going through her past fear's were not letting her to take any step forward it was pulling her into darkness

"Do you love me?" Shubman asked eda seeing into her eye's ..." Shubman.." eda sounded hasitent

"Okay let's rephrase it DO YOU LIKE ME be honest eda don't cheat yourself " eda took a deep breath
" I do like you ...but there" eda's word's were cut of by Shubman " I know there is difference between like and love eda but give me a chance to make you fall for me ....let me persue you "

"It's not easy shubman I have been building an strong wall around me from past many years...it's not easy for me to break it " eda said with tears in her eyes

" Let me help you eda I'll take care of everything....all I'm asking is you to have trust in my love for you..... And I hate these tears of you as much as I Love you " he said wiping her tears

Eda remained silent she didn't utter an single word Shubman understood that she needs time to think because trusting an person is not an easy thing to do especially for her

" Let me walk you to your room"

He walked her to her room and watched her enter and close the room door, shubman walked towards the lift and was about to go into the lift and a pair of hands warp around him from behind "I trust you shubman" eda said low pitch "don't turn back and just go back into your room ... tomorrow is going to be a new day for me with you beside me, make me fall harder for you... goodnight" saying this she ran back into her room and Shubman enter into the lift
