CHAPTER 12

It's been a week since Shubman's proposal eda thought things between them might get awkward but for her suprise it wasn't... it was quite normal he didn't kept asking her for responce...he kept waiting for her without any expectations

Eda was in confused state she knew that the feeling she was having was for him was more than friend but she was scared. Her fear was stopping her from taking a step forward what if she wasn't the correct one for him she has always been the one who is emotionally unstable interms of relations

It was match day. She came out of the dressing room and walked into the Corridor as she was walking see saw shubman taking to a boy who would be around 10yrs probably a fan the sight was so cute and Shubman looked adorable playing with that kid " you are making it hard for me shubman"

After sometime the match begin South Africa won the toss and choose to field. The beginning of the match was in favour for the Indian team everything was great but from 11th over things went north Indian team was lossing their wickets

Jaiswal was at strike and eda was at non strike end .....eda was having problem facing the bowlers since male bowlers were nearly 6 f't  the ball was going above her head everytime the ball fit the ground she was nearly saved by an catch drop when she tried to do pull shot

Jaiswal stoped playing safe since it was High time and the same went for eda

The score was not at the point they still needed to make more runs

Jaiswal and eda decided to take risk and started hitting each and every ball they stopped playing defence the atmosphere of the stadium was rebuilt when jaiswal scored the century....they still had hope

Jaiswal hit the ball ...they both were running between the stump's eda was near to strike end but the ball suddenly hit eda's leg but she managed to reach strike end

She suddenly lost her sensation of her right leg and she fell on the ground it was painful the ball hit her leg very strong all SA played came towards eda and tried to stretch her leg it was making things worse

Shubman came into the field along with the physiotherapist.... shubman face was filled with sweat and terror anyone would easily say that this guy will surely undergo an panic attack if this lasts for 10 more minutes

Empire declared that it's break time everyone took a sight of relief since eda would get some time to relax her muscle the doctor suggested eda to take rest but eda insisted on playing

" YOU ARE NOT PLAYING EDA"  shubman said in  rude and annoyed tone " it's not you who is supposed to tell me to play or not " eda said said with stern voice " you are not an kid who is playing for U17 or U19 behave like adult and stop insisting.....if you continue playing you might rupture your leg tissues " this time Shubman voice was filled with concern he didn't want her to get hurt " trust me shubman I'm fine " eda said with tone of assurance but shubman had blank face it was unreadabel " trust me " eda said it for one last time and kept staring into his eyes " then be ready to face the aftermath " he said in cold voice and left the ground along with doctor

Jaiswal was in shock seeing this side of shubman he knew that something was fishy

The break time was completed and they resume the match..... eda's performance was phenomenal this made everyone remember maxwell in 2024 WC the way he batted even after injury and Virat who played match with stitches on his hand...eda scrored century and got out her innings were amazing everyone felt as if they were watching some movie

Audience and teammates were clapping for eda's phenomenal performance and her determination

Virat : no I understood why everyone calls her female version of Virat Kohli

Shubman heart was filled with proud as he was smiling

Eda went into dressing room and sat on the bench
Removing her helmet as she was bending to remove her leg pads a pair of hands stoped her and started to untie the leg pads it was shubman on his knees

Shubman did a little stretching and was applying pain-relief ointment on her leg

Eda : silence does't suit you

Shubman remained silent and was concentrated on applying ointment

Eda : shubman.....look at me won't you talk to me

Shubman still remain silent and seeing his like this was making eda feel annoyed she held shubman face in both her palms and made him look at her

Eda : you said you would choose me in every life of yours ....is this how you treat me?.....are you angry

Shubman: what right do I have to get angry on you eda.....what are we huh?.....and coming to choosing you in every life yes  I'll choose you in every life of mine

Eda could hear both hurt and assurance in his voice

And next she did something unexpected
