✯ CHAPTER 5 ✯

Chan continued to stare at her getting completely awestruck. Then he noticed a man in his late forties run towards her holding umbrella in his one hand while other one held paper bag.

He shielded her from getting drenched and Chan could hear his loud voice and he knew she was getting scolded. He assumed he was her dad. Soon they both walked away as Chan watched their disappearing figure.

He stood there for few seconds before composing himself. He walked towards his bike as rain had stopped. He started to ride his bike back to home while his thoughts was filled with the girl he saw earlier

Kim Shin entered inside the house as Yn followed him. He was still grumpy at his daughter. He went for five minutes to buy groceries and he daughter started playing in rain

"Yaah Doyoung, bring the towel. Your sister is drenched" he shouted as the boy who had headphones around his neck came out of his room

He gasped watching his sister standing near the door drenched who gave him sheepish smile. He ran towards his room and came out with two towel in his hands. Kim Shin shook his head and went inside the kitchen leaving the two siblings alone

Doyoung wrapped one towel around her shoulders while he held another towel and started wiping her hairs. Yn let her brother do his work and listened to his rants like-
'Noona how can you be careless'
'What if you get sick noona'
'What if you catch cold?'

He was same height as her but some inch taller than her.
After wiping for few more minutes he dragged her towards her room and gently pushed her inside and told her to change her clothes.

After changing into comfortable clothes Yn came out and saw her father was keeping the dishes on the dining table. She sat next to Doyoung as he smiled at her.

Her father served hot soup along with ramen. Soon they all started to eat their dinner while talking about their day. Shin looked at his two children who were laughing and talking. After his wife died, he felt so vulnerable.

But the day his wife died and when he was crying very badly, he saw his children standing at the corner of the room. Yn who was just seven years old clutching hugging her five year old brother who was sobbing badly. Then Shin decided to work hard for them and their future. He even loved the sibling bond as they were inseparable

Soon after the dinner everyone went to their respective rooms. Yn couldn't sleep due to some reasons, so when it was midnight, she walked up to their terrace and sat down on the cemented floor which was dried at some parts

She gazed at the stars which was now visible after the rain and sat their silently gazing at the stars. After almost ten minutes she felt a presence next to her but she didn't turn towards that person and continued to gaze at the sky.

"You could have called me Noona" Doyoung said who sat next to her "I can't disturb you Dobby" she said and turned to him who was already looking at her

"Dobby doesn't like his Noona sad. What's the matter?" He asked "I feel useless Dobby. I act like a weirdo. Everyone hates when i be with Jihoon. I don't even know to cook, appa does that always and I feel so useless" she said and gazed at the sky and Doyoung saw a sad smile adorned her features

"You aren't useless Noona, your unique" he replied "I don't think so" she said and again gazed at her brother "How can you say yourself useless when you were the one who took care of me until now" he said as she kept quite

"When I was three years old Eomma got sick and got admitted to hospital for two years until she died. Appa loved her so much that he used to take care of her in hospital. That doesn't mean he abandon us, he made sure we were safe. During those days, you were the one who took care of me like a mother. You gave me my childhood Noona, how can you call yourself useless?" He said which made Yn speechless

"I like you for how you are Noona. Don't ever change. You have appa, Jungwoo, Jihoon hyung and moreover you have me so live your life freely" he said as she had tears in her eyes. She hugged her brother as he hugged her back and patted her back. They stayed like that for sometime until Doyoung heard her soft snores and chuckled.

He slowly adjusted her and lifted her in bridal style and went down inside their house. He layed her on her bed and tucked her inside the sheets. He placed a gentle peck on her forehead and softly whispered "I will always be behind you to protect you Noona. Rest well"

He glanced at her one last time and closed the door and went to his own room to sleep.

Woozi and Dokyeom were sitting inside their Home theatre while using their phone. Heesung just then entered the place as both brothers turned their gaze towards him.
"Where's Dino?" Dokyeom asked as Heesung replied "I thought hyung was already with you"

Woozi sighed and rubbed his forehead "I think he must be still asleep. Let's go and wake him up" he said as the other two nodded

Apparently the elder Lee brothers decided to take a leave and spend their time with the two younger Lee's. They planned to watch an action movie in the morning which was recently released. It was eleven in the morning and Dino was still asleep

They three barged into the room to find Dino still sleeping while mumbling strange things as they frowned. Woozi shook his brother but he showed no signs of waking up.

"Hyung come back, I'll wake him" Heesung said with a smirk as Woozi and Dokyeom stood next to his bed, frowning and watching the younger one climb the bed. Heesung sat on the bed and slowly held out his hands

He covered Dino's mouth with one hand while his other hand fisted Dino's nose. He waited for few seconds and Chan woke up with jerk and started panting heavily for air. Woozi and Dokyeom bursted into laughter after watching the younger ones trick while Heesung was still smirking

"LEE HEESUNG YOUR DEAD" Chan shouted while Heesung wasted no time and ran outside while Chan started chasing him. Woozi and Dokyeom decided to follow them while laughing their heart out
