CHAPTER2️⃣5️⃣

~HANNI's P.O.V~

I woke up to find myself lying in a hospital bed. Minji was sitting on a chair, beside the bed. Seeing me open my eyes she straightened her posture and looked at me with worried eyes.

"How are you feeling now!" She asked while helping me to sit down on the bed. "I'm fine. But you didn't tell Mj about this, did you?" I asked.

"Sorry, I had to. He was worrying as to why didn't you go to meet him. Mom will be taking him here any minute," she replied.

"What did the doctors say?" I inquired.

"Probably because of weakness and all the stress, they said. But they wanted to run some test," she replied with a soft smile. She kept staring at my eyes for a while as if she wanted to ask something. Then she finally spoke, "Hanni! Have you given it a thought about what I said yesterday? I know it's not a good time but I.....!"

I cut her off by leaning towards her and kissing her lips. "Does this answer your question, Ms.Kim?" I asked pulling away, with a slight smirk. She was caught off guard. Her cheeks turned red and she left a shy smile. It was my first time seeing her like this. Who would believe that I made, The Kim Minji, blush!!

"Mommy, what happened to you? Awe you okay?" Mj shouted entering the room. He jumped on the bed and hugged me tightly.

"I was going to ask how are you feeling! But now I'm curious as to why Minji's cheeks are so red! Did you slap her or something!" The president asked with a bit of humor in her words. I laughed at her remark when the doctor came in with the reports.

We all looked at the lady doctor. Seeing our worried faces she said, "Congratulations Mrs Kim! You're pregnant! Don't need to be worried anymore."

It was a quite surprising news but my mind focused on the word 'Mrs Kim'. Maybe she thought, I was her wife. Just the mere thought of being her wife made me feel butterflies in the stomach.

"What does that mean, mommy!" Mj asked being curious. "That means there's a baby inside your mother's belly. It will be your little brother or sister," the doctor said with a smiling face and exited the room.

"Wow! You put anothewr baby in my mommy's belly!! You awe so cool daddy!" Mj exclaimed. This made Minji feel a little embarrassed as her mother was standing there.

"I'm going to be a grandmother again! Didn't know you're so progressive, Min! However, congratulations to both of you," she said which made both of us lower our gaze. It was quite embarrassing.

I didn't go to the office for the whole week. Meanwhile, Minji did a press release clearing all the rumors. She also filed a case to catch the culprit, who was behind all of this.

I was now sitting in my bedroom with Rei. She came to see me and bombarded me with questions. Finding no other options, I told her everything from the scratch.

"All of this happened and you didn't care to tell me!" She exclaimed with a pout. I just chuckled at her expression. "So, did you feel jealous when me and the girls were drooling over your girl ?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows.

I didn't get to answer her as the doorbell rang. Leaving her in my room, I went to open the door only to find Minji standing there. She bought some supplies for me. Keeping them on the kitchen counter, she came near me. Before I could tell her about Rei, she pulled me closer to her and kissed me softly. Everytime she did that, I felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Wow, so cute! You guys should get married!" Rei exclaimed out of nowhere while moving her hands in the air. Minji got surprised and pulled away from the kiss. Then she gave Rei an intimidating stare.

"Um, I'm sorry for interrupting!" Rei apologized being scared.

"Don't be scared. I'm thinking of giving you a promotion for what you just said," she said. Then Mj came out of his room and hugged his dad.

*TWO MONTHS LATER*

I was working in my desk when suddenly rei screamed. "You are getting married and you didn't even care to tell me!" She exclaimed covering her mouth with her hands.

I was yet to process the information when Mrs Choi chimed in. "Congratulations Hanni! For both the marriage and the baby! I'm very glad to hear the news," she said while smiling ear to ear.

I had no idea what was happening. My other colleagues also came forward to congratulate me. This time WY wasn't here to jinx my happiness. The investigation revealed that, it was her who hired the photographer and released those pictures to the media. Later, Minji fired her from the job. Due to my request, she didn't file any lawsuit against her.

After accepting everyone's congratulations, I made my way to Minji's office. She had some explaining to do. She made a press release saying that we were getting married within a week and also that we were expecting another child. When did I accept to marry her!

"Kim Minji! Care to explain! We are getting married and I didn't even know about that! Why didn't you ask me before doing this!" I shouted at her entering her office.

She kept a straight face and walked towards me. "So you don't want to marry me!" She asked without showing any expression. "I'm not saying that! You didn't even propose to me for marriage!" I replied.

This time she couldn't keep a straight face and burst out laughing. "I know you would've said yes. That's why I didn't ask. I just can't wait to marry you."

She looked at me with loving eyes and then pulled me into her embrace. She left a few wet kisses on my neck and said those three magical words.

"I love you, Hanni!"

"I love you too, Minji!"
