The Secret Of The Island's Temple

It was a nice day on the island when Pacster was running around in a maze that Tails built for him in order to pass the time, there were also some ghost bots for the Yellow Pac worlder to munch on. That was when the ghost gang came to the scene. Blinky: "Hey guys, you're never gonna believe this, but there's a temple on this island." Tails: "Really?, how can that be?, we've been on this island for a while and we didn't see any temples." Clyde: "That's because it's inside the mouth of the island's volcano." that was when Knuckles came up to them. Knuckles: "You are not going anywhere near that temple!" Inky: "Why not?, it's not like there's some sort of monster guarding it." Pinky: "And even if there was, Eggman's on his way there." Knuckles: "What?!, he found it too?!" Tails: "What's so special about this temple?" Knuckles: "Um... well..." Amy: "Knuckles?, is there something you're not telling us?" Knuckles: "Ugh, okay fine, that temple belongs to my late clan, happy now?" Sonic: "Clan?, you mean you were born here?" Knuckles: "Of course I was, how do you think I know the island better than Sticks here?" Sticks: "Hey!, I happened to know a lot about this island just as much as you!" Knuckles: "Even the part on how there could be a temple or the Chao being here?" Sticks: "Oh and I suppose you know?" Knuckles: "Of course." the red echidna soon began the tale of Bygone island's past. A long time ago, there was a large green glowing emerald that crashed on the island, and a lot of Chao, who came from space, scattered across the area. The clan that the red echidna belonged to was the Knuckles clan, who were amazed by the powerful energy from the emerald. They learned how to use it to make their tools and other stuff stronger and learned to live in harmony with the Chao. But then one day, the leader of the clan wanted more from the emerald and plans to use it to win wars and take control of the planet. The clan fought one another in hopes to have the emerald's power before their leader could. The daughter of the clan's leader, Tikal, refused to let the emerald be misused, she tried to fight but she wasn't strong enough, suddenly, a pair of strangers that looked like yellow balls with limbs came and helped her defeat her father and saved the island. Unfortunately, by the time the battle stopped, almost all of the Knuckles clan were destroyed by the chaos, the only survivors besides the two yellow beings were Tikal and a baby Knuckles. Tikal used the power of the emerald to move itself and the temple around it, to be lifted off the ground and placed inside the island's volcano in hopes of nobody will ever find it again. Pacster: "Wait... these yellow orbs... what did they looked like?" Knuckles: "Not sure really, I never saw them, and even if I did, I was probably too young to remember." Sticks: "Well then how do you remember the rest?" Knuckles: "Tikal told me the story when she was still around." Amy: "You mean... she's gone?" Knuckles: "Yeah... that's why I didn't tell anyone about it, so that the Master Emerald wouldn't be misused again." Sonic: "Oh come on Knuckles, as if we would try misusing that thing like your clan tried." Knuckles: "You would have used it on Eggman, and even if it was for a good reason, it's power is too much for anyone." Pacster: "Speaking of Eggman, didn't you guys said that he's on his way to the temple?" Blinky: "Yup, that is if he hasn't gotten there already." Pacster: "If that's the case, let's go to that temple!" Knuckles: "Hey I didn't say that you could go there!" Sonic: "Would you rather have Eggman get that emerald?" Knuckles: "Well... when you put it that way... let's go!" so with that, Pacster, Sonic and the other Mobians were on their way to the temple while Vanilla, Cream & Cheese remained behind with the ghost gang watching over them. As soon as the team made it to their destination, they were amazed by the sight. Inside the mouth of the volcano was the temple, and Knuckles was leading the way as he knew the temple better than anyone else in the group. Knuckles: "Okay guys, be careful as the temple is full of traps." Tails: "Uh... what kind of traps?" Knuckles: "Let's see um... last time I checked, there were trap doors that take you to a pit full of snakes or sharp pointy sticks... or giant stone fists that will squish you... or..." Pacster: "A giant rolling boulder of doom?" Knuckles: "Oddly enough, no, we weren't able to make a large rock round enough to do that." it was not long before they found themselves in a chamber that had a large maze up ahead. Pacster: "Whoa, it's another maze." Amy: "What is it with you and mazes?" Pacster: "I don't know, maybe they like me, cause I'm... a-maze-ing." this made Tails and Knuckles to laugh while Amy & Sonic just groaned in annoyance by the joke. Sonic: "No, don't do that again." Pacster: "What?, I thought it was funny." Sticks: "Can't we just skip to the part where we go stop Eggman from getting this so called Master Emerald?" Sonic: "She's right, let's move!" so they went into the maze, and thanks to Pacster's training with mazes, they were able to get out and found themselves in another chamber, one with a large green glowing emerald inside, next to it was Dr Robotnik himself. Dr Robotnik: "Great, just when I was about to get limitless power." Knuckles: "Get away from the Master Emerald!, it doesn't belong to you!" Dr Robotnik: "Of course it does, since there is no one left of the people who lived here." Knuckles: "Wrong!, I happened to be a member of the clan who built this temple, so I'm telling you to back off!" Dr Robotnik: "Oh that's right, I almost forgot that this is where we first met, the time when you thought I was a friend before I mutated you into what you are today, honestly you were the easiest to fool out of all the brats I took." Knuckles: "Why you..." Sonic: "Enough talking Eggman, let's roll!" Dr Robotnik: "I couldn't agree more, robots... attack!" shouted the mad doctor, as a big group of robots came into the chamber and start attacking the heroes. That was when Orbot & Cubot came to the scene, either covered with snakes or sharp pointy sticks. Orbot: "Why do we have to be ones falling into the traps here...?" Cubot: "Cause the doc order us to make the traps don't get him." Cubot: "Gee, thanks for the reminder." said Orbot with sarcasm in his tone. That was when Pacster sees a hat that had the word 'Zac' on it. Pacster: "Wait... this was my dad's hat!, which means... my parents were here!" that was when what looked like some sort of stone like power berry, fell out of the hat and the young Pac worlder picked it up. Pacster: "Hmm... must be some special power berry, not sure what it does, but I know one way to find out." said Pacster, before he took a bite on the berry, and all of a sudden, he turned into a large boulder version of himself without his limbs. Dr Robotnik: "Oh this can't end well for me..." said the mad doctor, before Pacster starts rolling towards him and his robot. It was not long before all the robots, except for Orbot & Cubot, got crushed by Pacster's boulder form. As for Robotnik, he was now running for his life as the boulder Pacster was rolling towards him. That was when the temple started to shake up, showing signs that it was about to all fall down. Knuckles: "Oh no!, the temple is about to fall down on us!" Tails: "Let's get out of here!" Knuckles: "But the Master Emerald!" Sticks: "It's either that, or our lives!" said the jungle badger girl, before grabbing the echidna's hand and forcing him to go with her and the others as they managed to escape just before the whole temple fell down completely. It was not long before Pacster came out of the rubble before turning himself back to normal with the Master emerald next to him. Sonic: "Nice work Pacster, you sure know how to 'roll' with it." Pacster: "Oh I can't make puns but you can?" Sonic: "What, mine was better." Amy: "No, not really." Sonic: "Alright fine." Knuckles: "Never mind the puns, the Master Emerald is safe but the temple is gone, where am I supposed to hide it?" Pacster: "I have an idea." said Pacster, before the scene changed to where the island's Tree of Life was and Knuckles buried the emerald close to it. Sonic: "Nice idea, burying it next to the Tree of Life should keep it safe." Tails: "At least for the time being." it was not long before Cream, Vanilla and the ghost gang came up to the group. Vanilla: "How did it go?" Sonic: "Well we managed to keep the emerald away from Eggman for starters." Pacster: "And I found this hat at the temple too." said the yellow Pac worlder, before showing everyone the hat. Cream: "It has the word 'Zac' on it." Pacster: "Yeah, it was my dad's name, which means... my parents were here once." Inky: "But how?" Blinky: "And why?" Clyde: "It's a mystery..." Pinky: "No kidding." Sonic: "Well whatever the reason, at least Eggman didn't got a hold of something very powerful." little did Sonic or anyone knew at the time that back at Robotnik's fortress, the mad doctor was having an evil laugh as he had what looked like a small piece of the Master Emerald in his hand.
