16 - A good day (and then it wasn't)

I needed a day off.

Like now.

So I did what any sane person would do. 

I brought my best friend, daughter and bodyguard out to eat ice cream.

Actually I dragged them out of the house.

At the mention of ice cream however, Kayleigh was more than happy to accompany me.

So we were in the car, on the way to the ice cream parlour taking what was allegedly a "secret route".

"You heard back from Collage yet?" Isaac asked.

I groaned.

"Don't remind me."

"Kay you need to remember no matter what happens, we're here." Luke said.

"I don't think Ricky is my dad!" I blurted randomly.

"We know." Isaac and Luke said at the same time.

"What?!"

"Well you guys weren't exactly being quiet about it at the foundation." Isaac said.

"And Jameson and Avery aren't as secretive as they think." Luke said.

I turned my head to look at him.

"And I may have done some spying." He admitted.

Did I mention Luke was super good with computers? He had hacked into so many things for me it was wild.

"Luke I demand that you stop hacking into my houses' cameras!"

"Okay your highness."

"Please you sound like Xander." I retaliated.

Everyone laughed.

The car was silent until I heard a ping on my phone.

I checked to see I got a mail in my inbox.

I opened it to see it was from LCM.

"Holy shit!" I yelled.

Isaac braked hard.

"Ow dude the fuck?" Luke asked from the back.

Kayleigh, poor thing was rubbing her head that hit the seat.

Luke comforted her and looked at me.

"Nobody move!" I yelled.

My hands shook as I opened the letter.

"Fuck it I can't do it."

I tossed the phone in Luke's direction.

"Ow Kay!"

"Oh both of you shut up, I'll open it!" Isaac said, grabbing the phone.

"Dear Ms. Grambs,

We're pleased to inform you your application has been approved and you've been accepted into the London Collage of Music on a scholarship!"

The rest of whatever Isaac said was a blur.

I'd been accepted.

I knew the videos I sent were good. I didn't know they were that good!

"Kayla!" Isaac and Luke said at the same time.

"Holy crap, I got accepted." I said.

"You got accepted." They said.

Then we all started screaming.

Oh my god I was gonna go to London!

The only thing I wished was that Grayson was here celebrating with me.
