Chapter 8

Beeping filled my ears along with muffled voices I have one killer headache. I try to open my eyes but they don't listen they feel like lead "what the hell was that" I think Felix says "she was amazing did you feel the power rolling off her" my mate,he's here! my heart swells the beeping gets faster I feel something touch my hand then tingles. "I'm here love" he says "come back to me" he pleads I hear the worry in his voice I will my eyes to open they finally do bright lights blind me I blink a few times while my eyes adjust. "You're awake" I see the relief on his face "of course I'm awake" my throat all scratchy I sit up and Eli passes me a glass of water I down the cool liquid it soothes my throat. "How long have I been out" I ask "not long a few hours" he climbs in bed beside me.

"You're amazing love, I felt the power coming off you it rivalled my own" he kisses my forehead. "I felt it too it was exhilarating" I yawn and nuzzle him he growls in approval grasps my chin tilting it upward to look at him "I love you too" his eyes bore into mine I tilt my head further back till my lips meet his I dominate the kiss pouring all my love and emotion into it but it doesn't last long. Eli groans in my mouth he moves his hand to my throat and clasps lightly halting my movement he takes his time then he squeezes his hand I gasp his tongue invades my mouth searching taking I don't even know but I want it all. I breathe heavily the monitor picks up it's beeping speed again, Eli stops I whimper he smirks "when we get back" he winks "so do you know what happened?" I ask "the aura I felt coming from you was definitely that of an alpha but your father is a Gamma as far as we know you have no alpha blood" he says "it makes no sense half way through I let Reyna take over she had her she could've ended it but she told Lindsay to shift instead I felt it bubbling inside me the whole fight the power I mean" I rush out "and then" he prompts me further "well me and Reyna joined as one and we made Lindsay submit" I tell him. He ponders my words for a moment before he speaks "when you say joined as one, tell me exactly how it happened" "well we share one mind so usually we both share the space she has her side I have mine" he nods at me I continue "we both came to the middle and sort of I dunno merged I guess" I say and look at him he doesn't look at me at first but then it's like a lightbulb went off above his head he jumps off the bed and leaves the room.

Eli comes back in with a gentleman probably around dads age with salt and pepper hair, clipboard in hand "we did some tests and took some blood" he looks at me "how do you feel?" "I'm fine I feel healed,strong" I tell the dr. "Dr Hawthorne do you know why she passed out , did you test the blood?" Eli asks "we tested the blood and you're right the traits she's showing is of alpha lineage" the Dr tells us. Alpha lineage that makes no sense my mums a human and my dad is a Gamma "Reyna are you okay" I think to her "I'm good I feel strong , we don't need to be in bed hooked up too all these machines though" she growls. I rip out the IV and take off the sticky pads on my chest, the monitor flat lines. Eli comes over and tries to make me lie back down "Eli I'm fine I do not need to be in here wasting our pack doctors time" I say he holds up his hands in surrender "okay,okay love let me at least help you up" he helps me get out of bed but doesn't let me go "Luna,you are free to go you're fully healed" dr Hawthorne says "please call me Katie" I tell him "Luna Katie, after we tested your blood we also tested it against your fathers" he pauses "Ashton passed on to you his werewolf genes however since we can't test your blood against your mothers we can only assume since she's human the alpha gene came from higher in the family tree" Eli's hand is on the small of my back sending tingles up and down my spine it's calming and all this information is too much for one day to be honest.

"I want to go home" I link Eli "to your dad's?" He asks "no Eli you're my home now I just want to go back to the pack house and sleep" "your wish is my command Cara Mia" he cuts off the link tells the Dr to send him all the information he has and then we head home. I wake up the sun peeking through the curtains, I can hear Eli's soft snores from next to me good he's not awake yet his hair is splashed across his forehead, his bare chest slowly going up and down he looks so peaceful. I think I'll let him sleep a little while longer. I go and grab a quick shower, wiping the condensation off I look at myself in the mirror I look healthy the bags under my eyes are gone and I unwrap my towel to look at my side the slashes Lindsay gave me are already healed they wasn't deep enough to leave a scar. "Katie" Reyna giggles in my head "yes, you're happy today" I giggle back "your clothes are next door" she snickers. Fuck! It's fine I'll just wear something of Eli's. I towel dry my hair and leave the bathroom and to the right where Eli came from yesterday, wow it feels like a lifetime since I was waking up next to him for the first time I open the door it's like a whole other bedroom just for clothes! I look to the right Eli's suits hung on hangers pristine and fresh I look to the left and what all my clothes are on here and I mean all of them not just the stuff I packed for the week. Wow moving fast Mr Whitlock, well I did accept him and the pack I fought yesterday for my position as Luna of course I'd be moving in.

I put on a pair of my shorts and I pad to Eli's side and open his drawer, find a T-shirt of his and slide it over my head it landed just above my knees. Spying my suitcase propped up in the corner I grab my book 'ugly love' by Colleen hoover (deffo worth a read my babies) and pad over to the nook in the window sit down and get my read on.

Eli's POV:
I reach out to touch my mate only she's not there, I open my eyes I see her in the nook of the window reading, she's sensational the sun shines on her auburn hair the waves cascading down her back it has a red hue I've never noticed before. She looks so peaceful, her legs are bare I can almost see the top of her thighs and she's wearing one of my T-shirts Fenrir hums in approval "our mate is something special" "isn't she just". I slip out of bed careful not to make a noise as I close the distance between us, I pick her up she squeals "Eli you scared me half to death" she giggles setting her head in the crook of my neck inhaling deeply. I take us back over to the bed lying back so she's on top of me, she smells so good "why didn't you wake me" I kiss her forehead "you looked so peaceful, I wanted you to sleep a while longer" she hums in to my chest.

I still don't understand how she didn't wake me up, I know she's had a shower her hairs still damp it smells like apples. My love must use unscented soap everywhere else because all I can smell is gooseberries and lime. She glances up at me her hazel eyes bright curious. How will I ever get enough of her? "I love you" her soft voice rings through my mind I smile "say it again" I say aloud "I love you" she links me again. I sit up repositioning her so she's straddling my lap "out loud love, I want to hear the words" I whisper in her ear she shivers I notice, I always notice her reactions towards me she feels the pull just the same as I. She looks up at me dead in the eye and smiles "I love you Eli" "I love you Katie" I pull her into my chest my hand slides up her back till I reach the nape of her neck. "Eli" she whimpers softly and I can't help myself I kiss her slow at first savouring her, I've never been this turned on from kissing before. I lick her bottom lip and she gasps in my mouth giving my tongue entry I explore her all of her it's intoxicating tightening my hand around the nape of her neck she moans. I can feel myself getting hard and she moves I groan, she whimpers and moves again I release her lips and rest my forehead against hers inhaling deeply that's when I smell it.

Her arousal invades my nostrils she looks up at me she smelt it too but she's confused "what's that smell" she crinkles her nose it's cute "it smells super sweet" I'm smirking at her now she's so innocent. "It's your arousal" I tell her she can't stop the shock on her face "we can smell it" she covers her face with her hands I remove them just as quickly placing my fingers under her chin so she has too look at me. "You have nothing to be ashamed of ever" I tell her her cheeks now tinged pink "I've just , I've never" she stammers "done or felt like this before" "what do you mean" I ask dumbfounded I know most of us wait for our mate but she was brought up a human,surely she had suitors banging down her door Fenrir growls lowly in my mind he doesn't like the sound of that. "I'm a virgin" she whispers. My new three favourite words 'I'm' and 'a' and 'virgin' I knew she was innocent but wait -"you've done other things right" I question she just shakes her head wow. I'm in awe right now "Katie harper you never cease to amaze me" I kiss her "you don't think I'm weird" I tilt her chin upward "I would never think you are weird,stubborn yes, loyal yes but most of all you're all mine. We can take it slow" I tell her and mean it. I don't want to rush her first time I may not have saved myself for her but I will make sure hers is as special as possible.
