As the sun slowly disappeared, I couldn't help but worry. Jackie still wasn't home yet. Katherine has already told me twice that she'll let me know when she's back, but I thought there wasn't a big difference between being in my room or the kitchen while worrying about her.

I really thought things would get better after finally talking to her this morning. Maybe I'm just too naive, but I'm genuinely trying my best, right?

„Woah, looks like you haven't even moved an inch. You could play Fortnite with us, but no, you'd rather just stare out of the window. Come on, it's not like Cole and Danny are going to leave her alone wherever they are. Worst case scenario would be Cole breaking Alex's heart by hooking up with your twin," the one interrupting my thoughts remarked.

„Stop being such an attention whore, Isaac. We played Fortnite all day."

He scoffed, and I could feel his sharp look piercing through me. „Come on, it wasn't all day, maximum three hours."

„I don't care; this game's giving me a headache."

I finally turned my head in his direction as he sat down in the chair beside me. „But you were happy while playing, no signs of a headache."

And once again, I felt lost because he switched from sassy to caring. Despite the confusion, I abandoned that thought and everything else as I watched him pull my chair closer. I was right next to him, very close. Staring at him, he sat there, acting like he didn't just do that. In the silence, unsure of what to do, I noticed his face turning slightly, allowing me to see his lips. Now, I could tell he was about to drop another joke; his signature cocky smirk was back.

I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Isaac's playful remark. „Charisma or not, you're still the reigning Fortnite champion," I teased, breaking the tension with a grin.

As I chuckled at Isaac's boastful attitude, he suddenly turned serious, his gaze softening. „You know, gaming aside, I enjoyed the time we spent together today, even if it was mainly battling virtual enemies," he admitted, his eyes holding a sincerity that caught me off guard.

Suddenly, a nice song started playing on the radio, and without hesitation, Isaac stood up, extending his hand towards me. „How about we trade Fortnite victory dances for a real one?" he suggested, a mischievous glint in his eyes. I playfully declined his invitation with a smirk. „I'd rather not showcase my legendary dance moves, especially if it involves embarrassing myself," I quipped, feigning a serious demeanor before breaking into a grin.

I could sense his inner conflict. Did I just see a glint of insecurity in Isaac Garcia's eyes? Guilt struck me, and I kind of regretted my decision. Maybe this was a nice chance to test him. As he was still figuring what to answer, I decided to continue talking. „I mean, Fortnite was embarrassing enough. Adding my dance moves into the mix might just be too much for one day," I chuckled, trying to hide a playful grin as I continued to resist Isaac's dance floor proposition.

Internally, I decided, if he wants me to dance, he'll have to work for it. With a sly grin, I added, „But if you can impress me with some extraordinary moves, maybe I'll consider joining the dance floor." I could see the challenge accepted in Isaac's eyes.

Isaac took on the challenge, tentatively starting a slow dance that was oddly endearing. I couldn't help but let out a few chuckles, partly amused and partly enjoying the unexpected moment. As the laughter continued, Isaac gracefully stopped and extended a hand towards me, his expression turning sincere.
„Enough laughs for now, care to join me"he asked, offering to help me up from the chair. I accepted Isaac's hand, and as he led me into a surprisingly graceful dance, the room seemed to fade away. The music created an intimate atmosphere, and I could feel my heart quickening its pace, matching the rhythm of our dance. For a moment, it was just us, lost in the enchantment of an unexpected, romantic dance.
