Felix's POV

Disbelief and regret gnawed at me as I watched Elena flee to her room, slamming the door shut. Running upstairs, I desperately turned the door handle, but an unseen force thwarted my attempts to enter. Elena had invoked her magic, erecting a barrier that denied me access, even if I were to attempt breaking it down.

"Elena, please open the door this instance right now! I didn't mean to do that!" I pleaded, my voice echoing through the impassable barrier. Silence lingered on the other side, broken only by the sound of Elena sobbing inconsolably. Each tear that fell from her eyes felt like a crushing weight on my heart. The realization sank in—I couldn't help her until she allowed me to, a helpless spectator to her anguish. The impervious barrier stood as a metaphor for the emotional distance that now separated us, a consequence of the dark and tangled threads that bound our fates.
