A few weeks have gone by since the start of the new year, and I am hoping that something good would come of it. Am I still hoping to get adopted? No, not at all. That's a feeling that'll never change for me any time soon.
I've been walking the streets of the downtown area for a while now. I don't have school or work today, so I decided to take advantage of this day by going on a stroll, and not being cooped up in the orphanage. While walking, I felt the cold wind hitting me, and I shivered as I did.
"Oh boy..." I muttered a little. "I hope it doesn't snow..."
At that moment, I heard someone calling out to me.
"Ah, (Y/N)-kun!"
I looked around to see who was calling out to me, and I soon realized that it was Eve.

"Looks like we're in the same boat, huh?"
