When it was four weeks till Christmas Madame Maxine told the students about the Yule Ball which they were very excited about, Aurélie knew the other schools knew as well as that is what she could keep on hearing.
During the first task till Christmas she was practicing spells as well as working out the egg. She took Fleurs advice about the water and placed it underneath it when she was having a bath one evening and heard it singing. She put her head underwater and her the voices.
"Come seek us where our voices sound, We cannot sing above the ground, And while you're searching ponder this: We've taken what you'll sorely miss, An hour long you'll have to look, And to recover what we took, But past an hour — the prospect's black, Too late, it's gone, it won't come back."
When she got her head out of the water she coughed a lot. If she can't hold her breath for a couple of seconds how can she do it for a hour? She thought to herself.
She spent the week in the library trying to solve this clue out, after a long library session she went to the hall for dinner, on the way she stumbled across the Weasley twins, the ones who tried to cross the age line but got beards instead.
"I wouldn't go do there if I were you." Said one of them.
"Why not?" Aurélie questioned.
"We poured a very sticky substance along the floor so unless you want to get stuck.." said the other.
"Ah right. Thanks, but is there another way to the hall?" She asked the twins.
"Yep! I can take you there if you want?" One said.
"Yes please." Said Aurélie and you followed one of the twins whilst the other stayed.
"I'm George by the way, you did well against the dragons." Said George.
"Thanks, it was difficult but I'm glad I managed to get past it." Said Aurélie.
"I was wondering, do you want to go to the ball with me?" He asked.
"Of course! I would love to go with you!" Said Aurélie, on the way to the hall the two got to know each other.
"Well, here's the hall! Want to go to Hogsmead with me this Saturday? As a date?" George asked.
"Sure! Should we meet here at 11am?" Aurélie asked.
