"Well lets have a break before he start again shall we?" Layla asked
"Si, I think we all need it". Imelda breathes
"Anyone want anything to drink?" Julieta asked
"No thanks Mamá ". Isabela stated
"I could go for one Julie ". Bruno replied
"Me too". Elena and Franco said
"Okay anyone who wants a drink please follow Julieta ". Layla pointed towards her
Half the adults left the room along with some of the kids but some stayed behind and enjoyed the break their own way.
Miguel went over to Mirabel who was stitching .
"How are you holding up?" He asked
"Good... well as good as I can be". Mirabel nodded
"It's okay not to be okay sometimes you know that right?"Miguel replies
"I know". Mirabel smiled
"I never thanked you Miguel for standing up for me that was very sweet ". Mirabel adds
"No problem you shouldn't have to face that and the way they treat you ". Miguel replies
"Si, but they are family". Mirabel says
"Sometimes family can be wrong and push your boundaries a little bit sometimes you have to learn to say no". Miguel states
"Si you're right". Mirabel nods
To change the subject Miguel looked at what she was making.
"What are you making?" He asked
"Oh, something special for someone ". Mirabel replies
"Who is it?" He pushed
"None of your beeswax". Mirabel smiles
"Come on not even a hint". Miguel pouted
"Not even, don't even try it Muisco ". Mirabel stood fierce
God Miguel loved when she called him that he swore that his heart skipped a beat.
"Que?" She was curious
"Nothing, I just like watching you work". Miguel smiles
"Yeah right ". Mirabel laughs
"No I am serious it's amazing ". Miguel compliments
Mirabel blushed at his words.
Meanwhile everyone else joined the break and did their own things. Some adults chatting it up about life and other things. On the other hand Dolores, Isabela, Luisa and Socorro smiled at Mirabel and Miguel getting close.
"Oh would you look at how cute they are together ". Dolores smiled
"Si, I've never seen her smile that big before and I've never seen her so happy". Isabela sighed
"Do you think things will change once we leave?" Luisa asked
"I hope not I don't want think about it they are so happy together ". Socorro admits
"Me nethier Hermanita ". Isabela smiled
Bruno and Héctor notice how much Mirabel and Miguel are getting close.
