'Snow Parking Zone' Weird but Wonderful section, ' The Sunday Times' (24 March 2013)
Traffic police in Aachen, Germany, were issuing a parking ticket to a Volkswagen Beetle that was parked in a restricted zone. As they tried to remove the snow to read the numberplate, they realised it was a snow sculpture, complete with wing mirrors and headlights. However they still issued the ticket claiming that whether or not it was a real vehicle, it was still obstructing the road!!!

Finding the owners of the sculpture will be SNOW easy task!!! Ha Ha.
This story seems to both explode and confirm the stereotype of Germans having no sense of humour.
The prank of building the snow sculpture is surreally funny, whilst the stoic issuing of the parking ticket is the act of an obsessive Jobsworth!! Aahh Then Aachen!!!
It seems to be accepted that the Germans lack a sense of humour,
What most of us find funny just gives them a tumour,
But this bizarre story only goes to show.
They have a sense of humour, but only when it snows!!
