Chapter 5

3rd person Pov

Cut to a close-up of Twilight's dumbfounded face, zooming in on her eyes, then wipe to Rainbow's feet dribbling downfield. At the goal line, Twilight has taken up a defensive position-not a very sure one, based on how badly her knees are shaking, and it is useless against the spin-kick shot that comes right at her head. The unlikely goalie hits the dirt, saving her face but giving up a goal, and Rainbow pumps a fist before running in to get the ball. On the sidelines, Pinkie has set up a scoreboard-blue placard for Rainbow, pink for Twilight-and she changes the score to 2-0. On the field, a cocky Rainbow carries the ball out and drops it at Twilight's feet, one of which draws back for a kick. Before it can touch the sphere, though, Rainbow nudges it away with her own foot, pops it up, and bangs it over both their heads for another goal. As she raises both hands in triumph, Pinkie puts the point up on the board, looking a bit glummer than before. Dissolve to Twilight dribbling her way toward the line, which is undefended-but then Rainbow swoops in from the side to steal the ball away. Twilight skids to a stop and can only watch helplessly as her opponent makes a fast break to put it in the net one more time. A double fist-pump, and a downcast Pinkie records the fourth goal. Dissolve to Rainbow, bouncing the ball on her knee as a befuddled Twilight watches. The athlete back-kicks it up overhead, then lets it bounce off Twilight's face and down to the grass at her feet. Realizing that she has just caught a huge break, the bookworm dribbles ahead to the spectators' great excitement. She pulls back her foot for a mighty kick-and the sole of her foot skids off the ball, pitching her flat on her back. It rolls to a stop in front of Rainbow, who just happens to be standing at the goal; instead of nudging it in, though, she uncorks a blast that sends it all the way into the opposite net. Pinkie sadly flips the placard to show a 5-0 score. Cut to Rainbow, jumping in place with arms raised to mark her victory, and zoom out to the sound of winded panting. Twilight is still laid out in the grass, heaving for breath.

Rainbow: That's game! (The others gather around.)

Rarity: (trying to sound supportive) I really thought you were gonna pull it off there in the end.

Her feeble attempt at a chuckle dies under the withering glares of the other three girls who saw the debacle.

Konnor Pov

I was a few feet back with my arms crossed just watching.

Rainbow: So what's the plan? (extending hand; Twilight takes it) How can I help you be Princess instead of Sunset Shimmer? (Pull upright.)

Twilight: (still out of breath) But...I...lost!

Rainbow: Of course you lost. I'm awesome. But I'm not gonna help just anybody try and beat Sunset Shimmer.

Konnor:If you girls ever need a helping hand. Give me a call.

Rainbow:Right catch you later Konnor.

I smiled then walked away. As I did I made it halfway to the building when everything around me glitched out the same way it does in Digimon Cyber Sleuth. I closed my eyes then ran inside. Soon school was over and I headed home to my room. I put my Vpet on my desk and looked at it.

Konnor:I know you're in there. Whatever Digimon you are come out.

My Vpet didn't react. I was thinking about just leaving here at home tomorrow. That is until two beams of light exited my Vpet.

Konnor:Koromon?! Babydmon?!

They shake their heads as if to shake off their dizziness then they looked at me.

Koromon: Konnor!

Koromon jumps at me. I didn't know if I was dreaming or not but I nervously caught Koromon similar to how Tai did in the first episode of Digimon.

Konnor:H-how? How are you guys here?

Koromon smiles then spoke.

Koromon:I don't know.

I mentally facepalmed myself forgetting that the Digimon don't know anything. I suddenly felt something rubbing against my leg, I looked down to see Babydmon rubbing my leg like a cat. I slowly kneeled down to pet Babydmon, because one wrong move could get me blasted with some hot gas. Now a question arises, how do I take care of them while I'm at school?
