The next Morning
"That was far easier than I thought it would be" Hermione said as the four kids were relaxing under a tree near the lake "I needn't have learned about the 1637 Werewolf Code of Conduct or the uprising of Elfric the Eager"
"At this point I'm certain your studying just for fun, because I haven't heard of a singular thing you just mentioned" Jason said, looking at the sky while Ash and Benjamin play next to him
"And if I do?" Hermione says irritatingly
"To each their own" Jason shrugs
"No more studying" Ron says relieved "You could look more cheerful, Harry, we've got a week before we find out how badly we've done, there's no need to worry yet"
"Correction, how badly you did" Jason points out
"I wish I knew what this means!" Harry yelled as he rubbed his scar
"Go to Madam Pomfrey" Hermione suggested
"I'm not ill" Harry said
"put some ice on it?" Jason said
"I doubt that would help me if madam pomfrey couldn't" Harry says a little annoyed with the suggestions
Jason sits up and pulls out his wand. Then covers it with frost, and puts it to Harry's forehead causing him to sigh in relief "Nevermind that feels so much better"
"Never doubt me again" Jason says
"I think it's a warning... it means danger's coming" Harry says
"Harry, relax, Hermione's right, the stone's safe as long as Dumbledore's around. Anyway, we've never had any proof Snape found out how to get past Fluffy. He nearly had his leg ripped off once, he's not going to try it again in a hurry. And Neville will play Quidditch for England before Hagrid lets Dumbledore down" Ron says
"I don't know, Hagrid really isn't the best at keeping secrets when he's comfortable around someone" Jason says "It's not 100% his fault but..."
Harry suddenly jumps to his feat and walks away causing his friends to confusingly follow him "I'll see you two later, be safe" Jason said to his two pets
"Where're you going?" Ron asked
"I've just thought of something, we've got to go and see Hagrid, now" Harry said panicked
"Why?" Hermione said, struggling to keep up
"Don't you think it's a bit odd that what Hagrid wants more than anything else is a dragon, and a stranger turns up who just happens to have an egg in his pocket?" Harry explains
"Oh shit" Jason says catching up to Harrys train of thought
"How many people wander around with dragon eggs if it's against the law? Why didn't I see it before?" Harry continues
"What are you saying" Ron says
"He's saying Hagrid unknowingly bargained something with this mystery person for a dragon egg" Jason explains as they arrive at Hagrid's hut and knock on his door
Hagrid opens the door "Hullo, finished your exams? Got time for a drink?" Hagrid asks
"Yes please-" Ron says
"No, we're in a hurry. Hagrid, I've got to ask you something. You know that night you won Norbert? What did the stranger you were playing cards with look like?" Harry asked urgently
"Dunno, he wouldn't take off his cloak. It's not that unusual, yeh get a lot o' funny folk in the Hogs Head- that's one o' the pubs down in the village. Mighta been a dragon dealer, mightn' he?" Hagrid said
