Jason awoke and did his normal morning routine then headed downstairs to see Hermione reading on the sofa as usual "Morning Hermione" He said as he sat down next to her
"Good morning Jason" She says then yawns
"How do you think it went for them last night" Jason asks leaning back in the sofa
"It went awful" Hermione groans
Jason gives a look of confusion then quickly sits up with a look of realization "Did you go with them?!"
"I- I had to" Hermione says
"You didn't have to do anything, you should've just left it alone" Jason says
"I couldn't, I waited outside for them and when I tried to go back in the fat lady was gone" Hermione explained
"So instead of waiting inside of the common room you decided to wait outside?" Jason says a little annoyed and confused
Hermione sits in silence and thinks about her mistake
Jason sighs back into the sofa "Was Draco there, more importantly did you get caught?"
"Malfoy wasn't there but we were almost caught by Filch's cat" Hermione says
"How come you didn't get caught?" Jason asks
Hermione looks around the common room causing Jason to look around in confusion "what- what are we looking around for?" Jason asked confused
Hermione waves him closer
Jason slides to her and holds his ear out "we snuck into the third floor and ran into a three-headed dog that was guarding over a trap door" Hermione whispers to him
"Mhm any Idea what's in the trapdoor" Jason says
Hermione shakes her head
"Ok, how did you even sneak into the third floor, wasn't it locked?" Jason asks
I used the Alohomora charm on the door" Hermione says
"Mhm well good job" Jason says impressed
Hermione gains a look of confused "You seem confused" Jason says
Hermione nods "I thought you were mad at me"
"I'm not mad, I'm more irritated that you got dragged into it even though it is kinda your own fault" Jason says as he holds his fist out "I give credit where credit is do and you were just looking out for them, so like I said good job" Jason says smirking
Hermione smiles and gives him a fist bump
Later in the Great hall
"So how'd your little night stroll go" Jason says sitting across Harry and Ron
"I'm guessing Hermione already told you how it went" Harry said
"you are absolutely correct" Jason says snapping his fingers and pointing to Harry
"So did you just come over here to gloat" Ron says annoyed
"I don't know, I haven't decided yet. Do I want to gloat about how absolutely wrong you were and how absolutely right I was or do I want to applaud your outrageous stupidity" Jason sighs and puts his head on his hand "Decisions, Decisions"
Owls start sending down letters and packages "Good morning Benjamin" Jason says as his owl gives him a letter and starts eating food from a separate plate Jason made for him (A letter from mom, how the hell does she know my grades. Of course she's been hanging out with Kevin, she's been using my absence to her advantage. Love you too mother) Jason thought as he read the letter from his mom
