After Christmas break in the library
Harry, Jason, and Ron were sitting next to each other studying "I had you looking in the wrong section, how could I be so stupid" Hermione says as she slams a book on the table causing the boys to jump
"Jesus, scared the shit out of me" Jason says putting his hand over his heart
"Who's Jesus?" Ron asks
"I refuse to get into a whole discussion on what religion is, what were you saying Hermione?" Jason says
"I checked this out weeks ago for a bit of light reading" Hermione says sitting in front of them
"This is light?" Ron questions
"I want to read what you be reading because if this is light reading to you, then-" Jason stops as he sees Hermione's glare and holds his hands up in mock surrender "My bad, continue"
Hermione looks at the book "Here it is, Nicholas Flamel is the only known maker of the Sorcerer's Stone"
"Isn't he that really old Alchemist?" Jason asks
"Huh" Harry and Ron say in confusion
"Honestly don't you two read?" Hermione asks annoyed "The Sorcerer's Stone is a legendary substance with astonishing powers, it will transform any metal into pure gold and produces the elixir of life which will make the drinker immortal"
"Immortal" Ron repeats
"It means you'll never die" Hermione says
"I know what it means!" Ron says loudly causing Harry and Jason to shush him
"And the only stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicholas Flamel the noted alchemist, who last year celebrated his 665th birthday." Hermione continues reading
(DAMN do all wizards live this long) Jason thought
"That's what fluffy is guarding on the third floor, That's what's under the trap door" Hermione said
Later that night
Harry, Jason, Ron, and Hermione make their way down to Hagrid's hut "I don't understand, why are we going to see Hagrid instead of Dumbledore?" Jason asks
"Because we need someone to support our claim before we bring this news to Dumbledore" Hermione says
"And theirs the chance Dumbleodore might tell Snape" Harry adds on
"Makes sense" Jason says as Harry knocks on Hagrid's door
"Oh, hello. Sorry don't wish to be rude but I'm in no fit state to entertain today" Hagrid says as he starts to close the door
"We know about the Sorcerer's Stone" The four kids say in unison
"Oh" Hagrid says as he lets them in
"We think Snape's trying to steal it" Harry says as they all walk in
"Snape? Blimey, you're not still on about him, are you?" Hagrid says
Harry, Ron, and Jason sit on the couch next to fang while Hermione sits in the chair "We know he's after the stone we just don't know why" Harry says
Jason turns to fang "Well hi there" He greets the dog as he turns to him
"Snape is one of the teachers protecting the stone, he's not about to steal it" Hagrid says
"What?" Harry questions
