The Birdy

The bird was trying,
Couldn't you tell?
Through all of its crying,
It tried and it fell.

It wasn't it's fault,
The little birdy jumped.
Mommy told of the default,
It wasn't an attempt to be dumped.

Oh the little birdy was studious,
As she tried to fly.
Oh you were foolish,
To think it was impossible to die.

I guess you've learned your lesson,
Even though it's now too late.
We will lie you in the basin,
On a special date.

Tonight is the night,
We'll pray for your lost soul.
And hope you've found your knight,
In your small goal.
