She was a Girl

She was the girl,

That dreamed of forever,

She was the girl,

Who lived everyday,

She walked with a purpose,

She laughed and played,

She was so young,

No one knew of her late night battles,

She would cry and weep,

But couldn't let it all out,

She had trouble at home,

No one understood her,

She was yelled at and beaten,

Her parents were torture,

She got by for so long,

It just became too much,

She tried so hard,

She wanted everyone to be happy,

She knew what it felt like to not be,

She hated it,

So as she walked home for the last time,

She took a short cut through the meadow,

The flowers were in bloom,

All colors of the rainbow,

The sun shined brilliantly,

A perfect spring day,

She picked some flowers and layed down,

Breathed in the flowers and the air,

Then all of a sudden,

She closed her eyes,

Saw a glimps of her dark life,

Went home,

And died.
