I woke up next to Morgan and slowly sat up.

"Stay," he mumbled pulling me back down.

"Morgan!" I laughed and lied back down.

He pulled me to his chest and wrapped his arms around my waist. I waited until he fell asleep again and swam out.

I played with my powers. I made a jelly chair and sat down. First I lifted Shai out of her bed and set her gently back down.

"Lily, cut it out!" She yelled still hovering an inch above her bed.

"Okay, fine," I smiled setting her down and swimming toward a giant rock that peaks out of the water.

I swam up to the top an sat on it. My tail disappeared and my legs took their place. I hadn't seen them in a while since we were living under water. I looked at little flowers resting on top of the water and summoned them over. They smelled like a tropical island full of fruit and sun. I closed my eyes and relaxed. Then it just came out of me.

"I belong in the sea.

This is where I want to be.

Swimming along in the sea.

I belong in the sea," I sang pitch perfectly.

'Woah,' I thought. 'Were did that come from?'

I jumped in and swam down to Lagoona.

"Lagoona!" I yelled softly.

"What?" She moaned looking up at me.

"When people turn into mermaids can they sing really well?" I asked

"Sometimes, but not always," she answered getting up.

"Can you?" I asked looking into her blue eyes.

"Yes. Now I want to go back to sleep so leave me alone," she growled flopping back down outer her jelly bed.

"Okay, okay," I said swimming away.

It felt nice to not have a tail for once so I swam up to the rock and sat there. Why isn't my tail going away? I tried heating it and controlling the water off of it but nothing was working.

'Wait the song,' I thought remembering the lyrics. 'I belong in the sea. This is where I want to be. Swimming along in the sea. I belong in the sea. Oh my gosh! I belong in the sea? I am a mermaid forever!

Lagoona's P.O.V

'Urgh! Why did she have to wake me up so early?' I thought rolling over. 'Now I can't fall asleep!'

I remembered a story my mother used to tell me when I couldn't fall asleep. I was only eighty at the time but it always scared me into sleeping.

'Once upon a time there was a beautiful mermaid. She was going to have a little mermaid soon. When the time came at the mermaid hospital a tragic mishap occurred. The sharks came into the hospital and grabbed the husband of the beautiful woman and swam off. The beautiful woman had given life to two beautiful little mermaids but in all the chaos one was left behind. The baby left behind was never seen again. But if little Lagoona doesn't fall asleep soon the sharks will come and take her away too!'

I miss my mother. I hope she is okay and not too worried. I know the tiara had glowed on her but maybe she isn't the one but she is a very special mermaid. I slowly stretched my hands and swam up to where Lily was sitting.

"Hey," I smiled but frowned after seeing Lily's nervous expression. "What's wrong?"

"Lagoona, I can't get my tail to go away!" She shouted looking down at her beautiful tail.

"Have you tried heating it?" I asked looking up at her and climbing onto the rock.

"Yes! Yes! I have tried everything!" She shouted looking at me. "It just started after I sang a song I didn't know I knew!"

"Wait, what were the lyrics?" I asked hoping she wouldn't tell me the Siren's Song.

It was something like I belong in the sea. This is where I want to be. Swimming along in the sea. I belong in the sea," she answered looking at me hopefully.

" Lily, you're a mermaid forever! The Siren's Song means that you really belong in the sea!" I cried looking down at her tail.

"Is there anyway you can fix it?" She asked starting to tear up.

"Unless you become royal I'm sorry but no," I answered watching my friend cry her eyes out.

"But what about my family!" She moaned wiping the tears from her eyes.

"I don't know, but we could try to make a potion or something but nothing has been discovered to make a pure mermaid half again," I suggested.

"It's pointless! I'm never going to be human again!" She yelled diving under the water and looking at my legs.

I jumped under the water and swam after her.

"Shai! Emily!" I yelled waking them up. "Morgan! I need help!"

I could just see her tail when she fell into a hole.

"LAGOONA!" She shrieked until she disappeared from sight.
