Chapter 17

Third Person's POV

"AAAHHHHHHHH! AYOKO NA! SOBRANG SAKIT NAAAAA!" Humihikbi nalang si Astheria habang naririnig niya si Athena na nagsisigaw sa loob ng kanyang kwarto ng ospital dahil sa sakit ng ulo nito. Ilang buwan na siyang nagtitiis sa sakit ng ulo niya.

"I'm sorry, I can't do anything to remove the pain you're feeling right now... I'm so sorry, my sister." Dahil ayaw niyang makita ang kalagayan ng kakambal, lumabas siya ng kwarto habang humagulgol.

*phone rings*

["Hey, you okay?"] Tanong agad ng boyfriend niya na si Levin na siyang nakipagvideo call sa kanya.

Umiling-iling si Astheria ng ilang beses habang umiiyak. "I... I am not... I can't be okay..."

["Umaatake na naman ba?"] Halatang nag-alalang tanong ni Levin.

"I want to take away all of her pain so bad but I don't know how. I want to help my sister... Kung pwede lang na ako nalang..."

["Sshh! Don't say that. Hey, look at me! Please, look at me..."] Mamula-mula ang mata at ilong ni Astheria na tumingin kay Levin. ["We'll pray for your sister, okay? I'll pray for her every single day. We have to trust God, okay? He wouldn't let you separate from your sister. You love her so much, right?"]

"I love her so much. I can't live without her."

["Yeah.. so manalig lang tayo sa Diyos, hmm? She'll be okay. Trust her, she can do this. She'll get through this, hmm? Stop crying na."]

Tumango-tango si Astheria pero tumutulo pa rin ang kanyang luha.

["If only I was there. Don't cry, please? Wala ako dyan para punasan ang mga luha mo."] Dahil ayaw na ni Astheria mag-alala ang nobyo, pinilit niyang wag nang umiyak.

"Thank you, thank you for making me feel better." Mahinang sabi niya.

["You don't have to thank me, I'm your boyfriend and I'm always here for you... always!"]

"Sorry kung hindi pa ako makabalik. I just can't leave my sister."

["You can take your time, babe. Basta tawag ka lang if you need anything."]

Napangiti si Astheria. "Thank you, babe. I love you. Sige na, alam kong may klase ka pa."

["Oh right, I almost forgot. Ingat ka jan, I love you!"]

Malalim na bumuntong-hininga siya. We will get through this. Lord, please be with my sister. Bless her so that she could get through all the pain she's feeling. Thank you!

Bumalik siya sa loob at nakitang tulog na si Athena. Nakita ko rin niya ang kanyang  Mommy na umiiyak habang kino-comfort ng Daddy niya.

"Come here." Her dad spread his arms and pulled her for a hug. "She'll get through this. Your sister is a brave woman."

"Doc, when will my daughter get operated? Akala ko ba ooperahan na ASAP?" Mahinang sigaw ng Mommy ni Astheria sa isang doctor na pinoy din.

"Yeah, unfortunately there was an emergency in the hospital these days. But now, finally, your daughter will be operated on tomorrow. So be ready, please."
