The Hijacked Ship in The Sky! Part 1

Conan is looking through the books in the library, it's been a while for him to be in the library without Shinichi since the high schooler always beside him but today, Shinichi have a case to do until night, so he can have the whole house for his own

Or so he thought

"Seriously, you always go here without talking with Shinichi-niichan huh Kaito-niisan?" asked Conan

Unexpectedly, Kuroba Kaito is there with Conan just two of them in the library. Kaito initial plan was actually to meet Shinichi and talk together but Conan told him that he has a case until night but he should be back before dinner. When Conan thought that Kaito will be going back, instead he stayed and wanted to talk with Conan

"Hehehe it's always been like that. He's also letting me through he always scolds me for it" said Kaito giggle
"Well, what do you want to talk about? Since Niichan is not here and you seem to be okay with me" said Conan as he looks at the books on the other side
"Hmmm maybe you can tell me is there any cases that you find interesting and will be never be forgotten? I got used to hearing Kudou's ranting about his cases"
"Cases huh... Most of my works are related to Kaitou Kid, so I don't know it could consider a case. After all, fighting him is my job"
"I'm honored there Tantei-kun" thought Kaito smirking

The boy then took one book and put it on the table as he sits down on the chair

"I think I have a case story, but I don't think you will be interested" said Conan
"Oh I will, trust me!" said Kaito smirking
"Can't be helped... Did you hear about the news of Suzuki's airship hijack a year ago?"
"Oh you mean when the terrorist group take over the airship and wanted to release the bacteria right?"
"Yeah that one"
"Hmmm If I'm not mistaken, Nakamori-keibu already told me the rest of the story but I think it should be your usual fight against Kid right? What makes it interesting?"

Kaito himself was actually surprised that Conan choose that heist to be the most interesting. He remembers clearly about the heist since the interruption really did his thief job and almost losing his rival.

"That's because it's the first not Kaitou Kid heist only related case that I did without Shinichi-niichan's help" said Conan with a small smile

Flashback

The brothers are now inside their house. Conan was cooking lunch in the kitchen while Shinichi is reading the newspaper in the living room. The TV was on but the sound is not too loud because they know what is being said, the case of a terrorist group who manage to steal bacteria in a lab and destroyed it. The news has been reporting about this since morning which is become a big case. Suddenly Shinichi phone rings which to be from Heiji

"What's wrong Hattori?" asked Shinichi
"Yo Kudou, have you watch the news?" asked Heiji smirking
"Yeah, it's been repeated since this morning"
"You should be careful with your brother there"
"I know, you don't have to tell me"

Conan goes to the living room and see Shinichi is talking with Heiji on the phone. He sighs as he goes back to the kitchen which confused Shinichi for a moment until he comes again with their lunch. The high schooler smile at the boy and then make a room for them to have lunch there instead and also continue to talk with Heiji in speaker mode, so Conan can hear their conversation

"Regardless Hattori, it's been bugging me for a while" said Shinichi serious
"About why the assailant group destroyed the lab, right?" asked Heiji as if thinking the same as Shinichi
"Yeah, if their aim was merely to steal the bacteria, they would have no reason for blowing up the place"
"That's true, anyway, do you know anything about the Red Siamese Cats?"
"No, I only know that they targeted financial groups through terrorism around ten years ago"
"Ten years? Then you two should be around my age that time" said Conan as he sits down right beside Shinichi as he's done putting all their lunch on the living room table
"Oh the little Kudou is there as well. Sorry there, you were not born on that time" said Heiji smirking
"Shut up"
