Afternoon Tea Party Invitation

Kaito can only laugh at Shinichi's family situation while Shinichi just sigh by the reaction from the phantom thief

"Here I thought that I'm the only one who have a weird family... You do also have one" said Kaito laugh
"Oh you mean for being a son of the first Kaitou Kid and Phantom Lady? At least both of them are thieves... Yet I'm stuck with a mystery writer and actress" said Shinichi as he held his head
"Wait how did you know?!"
"You told Conan about you being Phantom Lady's son at that Ryouma Exhibition, right?"
"Oh yeah hahaha... Still, luckily you have a brother. Your parents differences are divided between you and Tantei-kun"
"I can't say that I'm glad about that. Conan really did inherit our mother's acting, but..."
"But?"
"But... He-"

Suddenly the library door opens, shows Conan who already with comfortable clothes

"For how long you guys planning to talk. It's late" said Conan unhappy
"Welcome home... Since when you arrive home?" asked Shinichi surprised
"Around one hour? I was about to open the door to greet you, but it seems you guys have a serious talk, so I didn't say anything"
"Ahahaha" laugh Kaito
"But I'm surprised that someone can keep up to Shinichi-niichan. Nakamichi-niichan can't even keep up to his mystery loving conversation"
"Well I can see what is your approach. When it comes to Sherlock Holmes, Kudou can't seem to be stopped. You sure had a hard time Edogawa-kun"
"Just call me Conan, I already used by people older than me calling me with my first name"
"Alright Conan-kun then"

Shinichi still find the scene quite amusing on how the two rivals are now in almost close terms since they practically become crazy in heists

"Dinner will be in 15 minutes, don't make me come here again to call you two" said Conan as he goes out from the library
"Yes yes" said Shinichi

The door closes and the two quickly put the files back to it's place

"Seriously, I still find it confusing on why Conan still haven't figured out your identity" said Shinichi
"Well, I didn't let out any Kaitou Kid radar and Tantei-kun didn't let out his Kid Killer radar. I also will not expect him to know me" said Kaito smirking proudly
"Ahaha... I'm still found it weird knowing for how long you two have been fighting each other"
"Let's just see in the future then"

Kaito stand up and put the files back to where it belongs while Shinichi just look at him serious

"Nee, if Conan ever finds out your identity... What would you do?" asked Shinichi serious
"He will not! I'm sure of that" said Kaito getting annoyed
"Just a what if..."

Kaito look at Shinichi who seems serious to which Kaito just smile to him as he goes to him after putting the files back

"If he did find out, I will be in the police as an international thief, so I will accept that fate. Because I believe that anyone who can send me to prison is the Kid Killer only" said Kaito smirking
"You're not going to ask him to spare you?" asked Shinichi surprised
"Why should I? Even though I didn't steal anything from the start, I become Kid until now... My dad already stole many jewels when he becomes Kid. The only one who can be sent to pay those crimes is me because I am Kuroba Toichi's son"
"I see... Well, I find it still unfair, but I will leave it to the court. Come on, we don't want Conan to be angry"

Both Shinichi and Kaito are on the way down and see that Conan is sitting on the counter as he drinks a cup of tea. He sees both of them and smile to them

"What are you doing?" asked Shinichi
"Waiting for the chicken in the oven" said Conan as he pointed at the oven
"Alright, we will be waiting at the dining table"
"Sure"

Both Kaito and Shinichi wait for Conan which is few feet far from the dining table, so they continue their talk earlier

"So, about him inherit your mother's trait?" asked Kaito
"Ah... If I tell you the truth, actually Conan inherits both mom's acting and dad's intelligence. Unlike me who seems only got half of it" said Shinichi as he looked at the cup of tea
"Really? Megure-keibu told his subordinates that you inherit your father's intelligence"
"I'm honored but... I was never like him from the beginning. That's why I'm jealous of Conan, he's a prodigy and can learn faster than human average. It's weird right, I'm jealous about the fact that he's smarter than me, yet he's younger by 10 years. He can even solve a murder case without my help which I can't do it when I was his age"
