Lena's: POV
Shannon and I were at the new house waiting for the inspection to show up while we waited she wanted to see the home
I gave her a complete tour of the new place
Lena l had my doubts about you finding a location for the new group home. But you have proven me wrong once again, l know this is a huge adjustment compared to the old house. We have more than enough space, I'm surprised the realtor sold it to you for 62,000 thousand dollars Shannon says to me. Well what can I say she wanted to charge me double the value, but I made her an offer she couldn't refuse. She talked it over with her boss and came back to Tell me, they would give it to me for the asking price l offered them Lena explained. I was thinking we can make the other house our main office. Where we can do the intake for potential residents Lena suggested to Shannon, l think it's an excellent idea
Lena l know you said you were hiring professional painters to come in and paint can we really fit it in the budget you've done so much already l don't want to think you have to prove anything to anyone Shannon said. First off Shannon l'm not trying to prove nothing to nobody l wanna be able to light up the house by some color in, cause l'm not liking the current colors on the walls. Once you see the finished product it will look a lot better, l just want to fix it up some. And as far as the money we have plenty of funds in the business account for the home improvements, Shannon l don't know what the problem is
About spousing up the place a bit, so the kids can feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Lena was getting tired of Shannon negative attitude, what is really going on Shannon we have always been honest with each other Lena asks. I don't see why we can't stay at the current house
Just because you were attack there, just as the words slipped out of Shannon's mouth it was too late to take it back, Lena l'm sorry
I didn't mean that Shannon tries to explain herself. How fucking dare you insinuate what you just said, out of all the people
I never expected you to blame me for being assaulted by David Matthews. Before Shannon has a chance to respond someone was at the door, Lena walked out of the living room to answer the door. Hi l'm looking for Lena foster Adams the older woman looks over her notes, l'm Lena and you are Lena asked. Yes my name is Yvonne Sharp and l am from the city
I thought you don't mind me asking to see your badge Lena States, Ms. Sharp pulled out her badge and shows it to Lena
Since Lena's attack she's been very cautious of strangers. Okay looks good would you follow me so I can give you a grand tour of the house Lena said, Ms. Sharp follows Lena around the home oh where are my manners l would to introduce you to my business associate Shannon Lena Stated
Shannon and Ms. Sharp shakes hands
Lena knew she needed to remain professional. The inspector takes out a pad and pen to jot any findings on the property
Lena shows her the whole downstairs first
Ms. Sharp turns on the water to see if it's working correctly, she checks it off her list that it's alright. They head up to the second floor, leaving Shannon we're she is
Lena gives Ms. Sharp a brief description
About the rooms, there's thirteen bedrooms and five bathrooms. A den l'm thinking of turning into a library for the children
So can come in and study in Lena explains what she wants to do with the house, you sure have enough space to do many things
What are you thinking of doing to the house out side l noticed it when I drove up Yvonne questioned, l have decided to turn it into the corporate office for when clients come in for the intake process Lena Stated
After seeing the complete second floor
They go up to the third floor. Here we have five rooms like the ones we just saw Lena replies and let's Ms. Sharp have a look around on her own, Lena tires not to let Shannon's words get the best of her
