The Era of the Lost #59

Hiding behind the transparent glass

Waiting for it all to end

For it all to pass

For the wounds to mend

The era of the Lost

The last generation

All dreams tossed

Throughout the nation

We stitch our skin

Back together

Once again

Through whatever weather

Through the snow

We are lost

We already know

That the frost

Has taken it's bite

Through our spine

It will be alright

Will be fine

Nothing short of a loss

We cut our wages

As our boss

Turns our pages

We walk through the fire

Walk on broken glass

Never to retire

Work as long as the grass

Never growing old

Yielding youth

So bold

Telling nothing short of the truth

Putting the I in sin

The I in pride

Once again

You lied

Hiding behind the transparent glass

Waiting for it all to end

For it all to pass

For the wounds to mend

The era of the Lost

The last generation

All dreams tossed

Throughout the nation
