Death's Clock #1

As I was digging through the earth's crust

I figured out that there was no one I could sincerely trust

Although a best friend

Will be trustworthy till the end

A problem will arise

Then it's too late to apologize

Although we are grieved and stricken

Life will still be ticken

As Death's clock ticks away

We will be in forever disarray

As we all retire

And walk through the fire

As our body's all fall to atrophy and decline

This is the time for which we are to shine

As our world's go round

Maybe joy can be found

Although this life could be about to end

I hope you get this message I am about to send

As Death's clock ticks away who will abide

By your side

My heart dreads

Just for people willing to rip it to shreds

Sitting here wondering what went wrong

While I am writing this song

Up until that last day when you draw your last breath

You will have a very slow and painful death

One day you will get married

And one day you will be buried

It all goes back to God

And parent's who don't spare the rod

One day we will receive a crown

On that day we will not frown

One day we will win the fight

And walk unto the light

So I ask you as Death's clock ticks away who will abide

By your side?
