Impact?!

"This year, Akiba will be converted into Halloween Street for an event. µ's and A-Rise were invited to participate as local school idols."
We'd just got back from the trip, and everyone was already fired up for the event, which, as a manager, was good to hear. I should probably start taking my manager role more seriously now. They are entering the later stages of the Love Live! after all.
"Wow, we're certainly getting special treatment for passing the first round."
Honoka exclaimed, looking cheerful as usual.
"Does that mean we'll be performing?" Maki perked up a bit at this comment.
"It's a great opportunity, but do we really have time for all these events, like that fashion show the other day? The final round of preliminaries is coming up."

Nico chimed in, "Yeah! Our goal is to win Love Live, remember?"
"You're right about that, but small things can make a big difference!"
Nico scowled at Eli's quick reply.
"I heard that TV stations will be covering the event."
Nico immediately jumped up. She was ready now that the media was involved, as usual, I suppose.
"We'll get a lot of attention if we perform with A-Rise!" Hanayo exclaimed.
"Yeah! Let's make a stronger impact than A-Rise!" Nico jumped up yet again. "By delivering an unforgettable performance to the audience!"
Honoka got fired up now, too.
"Owh! Maki-Chan, we gotta go for impact from now on!"
Maki sighed.
"By the way, Honoka... Are you sure you have time to be here?"
The gears finally clicked in my head what she meant, and I burst out laughing.
I heard footsteps behind me and turned to see Umi, with a terrifying grin standing next to a terrified Kotori.
"Hello there."
Umi looked down on all of us with her grin still staying.
Umi tilted her head and grinned even more at Honoka.
"Oh, so you say we should go for impact, do you?"
Honoka chuckled for a second and immediately stopped.
"Not that kind of impact!"
Umi then grabbed Honoka's ear and dragged her out of the room and off somewhere.
"I guess that ends today's meeting!"
Nozomi laughed along with the rest of us.
"I should probably go home now, I almost forgot to finish my homework."
I accidentally let that slip out in front of Nozomi, oh no.
"Oh? (Y/N)-Chi? What was that? Not keeping up with homework, are we? You know what'll happen if you don't, right?"
My eyes widened slightly. She was the only reason anyone had to do homework, and god, was she terribly good at it.
"Y-Yes, I promise I'll have it done by tonight, Nozomi!"
I left the room as soon as I could afterwards.

"All right, so..."
The announcer lady screamed through her microphone once again, doesn't she ever get tired of doing that? I like the enthusiasm, I guess.
"Akiba Halloween Festival is kicking off today! I hope those of you watching this on TV are just as excited as I am!"
I stood behind the curtains of the makeshift stage that was made for us to, I don't know, announce our plans, I guess.
"She already has more impact than us..."
Honoka nudged me slightly. Impact, huh?
"She does look really excited."
Rin chimed in after.
"She'll always be like that. It's her job."
I laughed slightly. She was definitely too enthusiastic about it for it to just be an act.

"As you can see, this is going to be an awesome event! Look at all these people in costumes! It's not too late to join us!"
There was a large crowd gathered around the stage that we were in, almost all of them wearing Halloween costumes of some kind.
"And guess what? On the last day of the event, we'll have school idols performing live!"
The reporter girl sprung behind Honoka to ask her questions.
"What's up? Are you excited?"
"Y-Yeah..." Honoka awkwardly replied.
"Let's hear your enthusiasm for your upcoming performance!"
"W-We'll do our best..."
"Okay!"
The reporter slid over to Rin next.
"You should say something, too!"
"Look forward to our show, nya!"
Rin grinned.
"That was so cute!"
I instantly looked to Nico. She was going to try something silly.
"Alright, my turn!"
She proudly puffed out her chest.
"Nico Nico Ni-"
"These were the Otonokizaka Academy school idols!"
I burst out laughing, Nico stood in dismay, thinking about what had just happened.
"And that's not all!"
An assistant of some kind started rolling out a TV onto the stage.
"A-Rise will also be performing!"
The TV flashed on, and all 3 A-Rise members appeared on screen.
"We always venture into new things to continue evolving. At this Halloween event, we want to break our mould, and in a good way."
They disappeared off the screen for a second and appeared again in Halloween costumes.
"Happy Halloween!"
The whole crowd cheered violently.
"Wasn't that incredible?! That's A-Rise for you! What an amazing impact!"
