OPHELIA hurriedly stuffed the gift bag on her lap with tissue paper. She couldn't help but feel nervous of whether or not Belly would like the gift she got her.
"Hey princess, you look beautiful." Conrad told his girlfriend as he walked in his room from the bathroom.
"Thank you." even after almost a year, his compliments still leave her blushing. "Do you think Belly will like the dress I got her?"
"Why are you so nice to her? Especially after what you heard her say." he was so confused as to how his girlfriend could still be so nice to someone who spoke badly about her.
Ophelia looked at the gift bag. "Well you have to kill people with kindness. If i'm nothing but nice to her, she has no reason to dislike me."
Conrad smiled endearingly at her. "You're like perfect, you know that?" he held her hands.
"Well you only tell me everyday." she laughed. He smiled and kissed her. "Let's go eat breakfast."
They walked downstairs hand in hand and Ophelia sat at the counter. "Goodmorning everyone." she smiled, her usually glow rubbing off on everyone else.
"Jesus blueberry, you got a vampire of a boyfriend huh?" Jeremiah teased her. Ophelia's eyes widened and she covered her neck with her hair. Conrad punched his brothers shoulder making the boy wince.
"Oh boys, stop it." Susannah told them and she shot Ophelia a knowing look. The girl blushed sheepishly as she realized her outfit did little to cover her neck.

Conrad handed his girlfriend a bowl of cereal and sat beside her to eat it. Belly walked into the room making everyone turn their attention away from the hickeys on Ophelia's neck and to the birthday girl herself.
"Belly, you're mickey mouse pancakes are ready." Laurel told her daughter.
The girl took a glance around the kitchen and saw Conrad with his arm around Ophelia. She realized how childish it seemed for her to be eating mickey mouse pancakes at the age of sixteen.
"Actually I'm not that hungry." Belly shrugged.
"Oh then, let's do gifts!" Susannah was quick to bring three excitement back. Ophelia couldn't help but smile. If there's one thing she's learned since knowing Susannah it's that the woman is always trying to make everyone happy.
Everyone gave Belly their gifts which she opened happily. Finally it got to Ophelia and Conrad, who were cuddled on a chair; the girl sitting on his lap.
