The next day, I take refuge at Stella's, confiding in my closest friends about what Tyler had confessed just last night...

"Wow," Stella says with wide eyes
"Wow?' I ask
"I mean, .... Wow," she adds
"Will you stop saying wow." I demand

Stella looks at me for a second before speaking again, I can see she's trying to think of what to say next.

"He cares about you, huh?" She asks, nodding and staring off at Ava who lays at our feet in the middle of Stella's living room

I nod, "that's what he said," I say
"Bullsh-" Stella begins
"Sounds genuine to me!" Ava cuts her off, once laying on her back she now turns on her side and keeps her head lifted with her hand.

"Listen, Grey. I was prepared to let you have this rendezvous with him but it seems it's getting a little serious now, so it's time to snap you back to reality." Stella says, putting her hand on my shoulder

Ava sits up and crosses her legs

"He's about to go in for the kill, Grey." Stella nods as if she's asking me to understand.

I don't understand

She blinks one or twice, "he's like the black widow in this way, luring his suitors in and then killing them afterwards."

"Is there something we should know about Tyler ?" Ava asks cautiously
"Like has he killed past flings and ate them for dinner?" I joke
Ava laughs

"THIS ISNT A LAUGHING MATTER." Stella shoots

Ava and I both grow quiet
"And-uh- black widows do not usually kill their mate (although they have been known to do so). Their mates can sometimes even live in the web of the other for a while without being harmed in any way." I say

Stella folds are harms, "Oh whatever, Grey. She shoots.
"I just mean that this is about the time he reels you in, makes you think it's you and him against the world, sleeps with you, and then he messes it all up," Stella says

"I-" I begin, my phone starts ringing
It sits clear as day on Stella's coffee table so everyone can see it's Tyler from the caller ID.

"You're dying to answer it, go on." Stella says, rolling her eyes
I roll my eyes back, picking up my phone. "Hello?"
"How fast can you get to the hospital?" He asks
"Fast, why?" I ask, growing a little panicked.
"Get down here," he says, hanging up.

I stand, "you're leaving?" Stella asks, sinking back on her couch
"Aw, I don't want to leave." Ava frowns
"You don't have to!" Stella says
I hold my hand out to Ava, "yes she does, you're mom wants you in at 8 and I don't know if I'll be back around this way in time so you're coming with me," I say

"I don't want to third wheel to you and Tyler." She frowns
"Relax, there'll be no thirdwheeling, he's at the hospital for some reason" I say
"What!" Stella says
"Why?" Ava add

"I DON'T KNOW, THATS WHY I SAID: FOR SOME REASON. NOW LETS GO." I say to Ava.

"Bye Stella," Ava waves, "fill me in on all the Tyler drama," Stella says to us as we walk out her front door.

I'm rushing in with Ava hot on my trail, the time it took to get from Stella's to the hospital made me think of the worst possible scenarios and so now I'm completely shook.
