Y/n and Jungwon walked hand in hand down the dark, quiet street. The warm breeze carried the scent of the ocean and the sound of crickets chirping. Y/n couldn't help but feel protective over her shy boyfriend, especially when they were alone in the dark.

"You know, Jungwon," she began, breaking the comfortable silence between them, "I had a really great time today. I'm glad you came with us to the beach."

Jungwon smiled shyly, his eyes shining in the dim light. "Me too," he replied softly. "I was a bit nervous at first, but your friends were really nice to me."

Y/n beamed with pride. She knew her friends could be a little intimidating at first, but they were good people at heart. And seeing Jungwon fit in so well with them made her heart swell with affection.

As they continued walking, Y/n couldn't help but reflect on how much fun they had had at the beach. They had built sandcastles, gone for a swim, and even played a game of beach volleyball. Y/n's friends had been impressed with Jungwon's skills, and he had seemed to enjoy himself despite his initial shyness.

"It was so much fun," Y/n agreed, squeezing Jungwon's hand. "I'm really glad you came."

Jungwon looked up at her with a soft smile. "Thanks for inviting me," he said. "And for walking me home. It's really dark out here."

Y/n nodded, feeling a surge of protectiveness over her boyfriend once again. She couldn't imagine anything happening to him, and she would do anything to keep him safe.

As they approached Jungwon's house, Y/n couldn't help but feel a little sad that their day together was coming to an end. But she knew there would be more fun times to come, and she couldn't wait to make more memories with the boy she had grown to care for so deeply.

"Goodnight, Jungwon," she said, leaning in to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Goodnight, Y/n," he replied, his cheeks turning pink.

With one last squeeze of his hand, Y/n watched as Jungwon disappeared into his house. She couldn't wait to see him again.

{Time skip, Monday at school}

Y/n felt a sense of pride as she stepped off the bus with Jungwon by her side. She knew that everyone would be shocked to see her with him, but she didn't care. She was happy to be dating someone as sweet and kind as him.

As they walked towards the school entrance, Y/n could feel the eyes of her classmates on them. She heard whispers and giggles behind her back, but she ignored them. She was determined to make things work with Jungwon, even if it meant going against her reputation as the mean girl.

Just as they were about to reach the school entrance, Sunghoon, Jungwon's friend, came rushing towards them. Y/n could see the worry etched on his face, and she knew that he must have thought she was bullying Jungwon again.

"Jungwon, are you okay?" Sunghoon asked, grabbing Jungwon's arm and pulling him away from Y/n.

Y/n frowned, feeling a wave of annoyance wash over her. She didn't like being treated like a bully, especially when she was trying to be a better person.

"Sunghoon, it's okay," Jungwon said, looking at Y/n apologetically. "Y/n and I are dating now."

Sunghoon's eyes widened in shock, and Y/n could see the realization dawn on his face. He had been so quick to judge her, assuming the worst of her, and now he felt ashamed.

"I'm sorry, Y/n," Sunghoon said, looking at her with regret in his eyes. "I didn't know you and Jungwon were together."

Y/n nodded, feeling a sense of satisfaction wash over her. She had proven Sunghoon wrong, and she knew that she would continue to surprise people with her kindness and compassion.

"It's okay, Sunghoon," Y/n said, smiling at him. "I'm just happy to be with Jungwon."

As they walked into the school together, Y/n couldn't help but feel proud of herself for breaking free from her old ways. She knew that she had a long way to go to earn people's trust and respect, but she was willing to do whatever it took to be the kind of person she wanted to be.

{In the classroom}

As Y/n and Jungwon walked into the classroom, the cheers of their classmates echoed through the room. Y/n's friends were clapping and whooping with joy, while even Sunghoon seemed happy to see them together.

Feeling emboldened by the support of her friends and peers, Y/n decided to show everyone just how serious she was about her relationship with Jungwon. She walked over to him, took his face in her hands, and kissed him gently on the lips.

The whole class erupted into cheers and applause, and Y/n could feel a sense of pride wash over her. She had never been one to show her affection in public before, but something about being with Jungwon made her want to shout it from the rooftops.

"Jungwon is now only mine," Y/n declared, pulling away from the kiss and looking around the room with a fierce gaze. "So if I see anyone hitting on him, then I won't even think twice about turning into the mean girl."

There was a moment of stunned silence in the room, as Y/n's classmates processed what she had just said. But then, slowly, the cheers and applause resumed, and Y/n's friends started high-fiving and congratulating her on her newfound love.

Jungwon looked at her with a mix of admiration and disbelief in his eyes, and Y/n could tell that he was proud of her for standing up for their relationship. She knew that there would be challenges ahead, but with Jungwon by her side, she felt invincible.

As they settled into their seats and began the day's lessons, Y/n felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She knew that there would be ups and downs in her relationship with Jungwon, but for now, she was happy to bask in the glow of their newfound love, and to show the world just how much she cared for him.

{Time skip, in the lunch break}

During their lunch break, Y/n grabbed Jungwon's hand and led him out of the cafeteria. He looked confused and a little nervous, but Y/n just smiled at him and kept walking until they reached the schoolyard. There, she found a big tree and sat down, pulling Jungwon down beside her.

For a while, they just sat there in silence, enjoying each other's company. Jungwon was always so quiet, but with Y/n he felt comfortable enough to open up a little bit. He told her about his day, about the classes he had and the things he had learned. Y/n listened intently, her eyes never leaving his face.

After a few minutes, Y/n's friends arrived, accompanied by Sunghoon, Jungwon's friend. Y/n greeted them warmly and invited them to sit down with them under the tree. At first, Jungwon looked a little uncomfortable, but Y/n put a reassuring hand on his knee, and he relaxed.

They all chatted for a while, talking about everything and nothing. Y/n's friends were surprised to see her so relaxed and happy, and they couldn't help but feel a little envious of her relationship with Jungwon. Sunghoon, for his part, was glad to see his friend so happy.

As the bell for the end of lunch break rang, Y/n stood up, pulling Jungwon to his feet. She smiled at him, and he smiled back, his eyes shining with happiness. Y/n's friends and Sunghoon said their goodbyes, and Y/n and Jungwon headed back to class, hand in hand.

For Y/n, that lunch break was a turning point. She realized that being kind and compassionate was just as rewarding as being ruthless and mean. She made a promise to herself to be kinder to everyone, but especially to Jungwon, the shy boy who had captured her heart.
