As the class went on, Y/n couldn't help but notice Jungwon sitting next to her. She knew he was always the shy boy in class, but today, she couldn't help but stare at him. Jungwon was trying his best to concentrate on the lesson, but Y/n's constant stares were making it difficult for him to focus.

Sunghoon, who was sitting on Jungwon's other side, noticed his friend's discomfort and grew increasingly worried. He knew how hard it was for Jungwon to be the center of attention, especially from someone like Y/n, who was known to be the mean girl in school.

Sunghoon leaned over and whispered to Jungwon, "Are you okay? You seem distracted."

Jungwon shook his head and whispered back, "No, I'm not okay. Y/n keeps staring at me, and it's making me uncomfortable."

Sunghoon looked over at Y/n, who was now openly smirking at Jungwon. He knew he had to do something to help his friend.

"Hey, Y/n," Sunghoon said loudly, drawing the attention of the whole class. "Can you please stop staring at Jungwon? You're making him uncomfortable, and it's not fair to him."

Y/n looked taken aback by Sunghoon's sudden outburst but quickly regained her composure. "I wasn't doing anything wrong," she said defensively. "I was just looking at him."

Sunghoon shook his head. "It doesn't matter what your intentions were. You were making him uncomfortable, and that's not okay."

Y/n rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to the front of the class, but Sunghoon could tell that she was still watching Jungwon out of the corner of her eye.

As the lesson continued, Sunghoon kept a watchful eye on Y/n, making sure she didn't bother Jungwon again. He knew how hard it was for his friend to speak up for himself, and he was determined to be his voice when he couldn't speak up for himself.

As the lesson carried on, Y/n couldn't help but feel a sudden urge to hold Jungwon's hand. She glanced at him, noticing how he nervously fidgeted with his pen, and decided to make a move.

Swiftly, she reached for his hand and placed it under the desk, intertwining their fingers together. Jungwon's eyes widened in surprise, but he didn't resist, allowing her to hold his hand.

Sunghoon, who sat behind them, noticed the sudden gesture and leaned in to whisper to Jungwon. "Are you okay? Do you need help?"

However, before Jungwon could respond, Y/n snapped at Sunghoon, her eyes flashing with annoyance. "Mind your own business, will you? We're just holding hands. It's not a big deal."

Sunghoon recoiled, taken aback by Y/n's sudden hostility. He could tell that something was different about Jungwon today, and he wanted to make sure he was okay. But it seemed like Y/n was protective of him, and he didn't want to make things worse.

Jungwon, on the other hand, couldn't believe what was happening. Y/n, the mean girl who had always picked on him, was holding his hand. It was a small gesture, but it made him feel seen and appreciated in a way that he never had before.

As the lesson ended and the class began to pack up, Y/n reluctantly let go of Jungwon's hand, but not before giving it a gentle squeeze. She couldn't explain why she had done it, but she knew that she wanted to do it again.

Jungwon, for his part, couldn't stop thinking about Y/n's gesture. Maybe she wasn't as mean as he had thought. Maybe there was more to her than met the eye.

{Time skip, in front of the school}

Sunghoon's heart sank as he watched Y/n pull Jungwon away from him. He had been hoping to spend some time with Jungwon after class, but now it seemed like that wasn't going to happen.

He could see the fear in Jungwon's eyes as Y/n led him away, and he couldn't help but feel angry at her for treating Jungwon so poorly. He knew that Jungwon was shy and often struggled to speak up for himself, and he couldn't stand the thought of him being taken advantage of.

Without hesitation, Sunghoon ran after Y/n and Jungwon, determined to make sure that Jungwon was okay. As he caught up to them, he could see the surprise on Y/n's face as she turned to face him.

"What do you want?" she spat at him.

"I want to make sure that Jungwon is okay," Sunghoon replied firmly.

"He's fine," Y/n retorted, her grip on Jungwon's hand tightening.

Sunghoon could see the fear in Jungwon's eyes, and he knew that he couldn't just let this go. He reached out and gently took Jungwon's other hand, pulling him away from Y/n.

"Come on, Jungwon," Sunghoon said softly. "Let's go home."

Jungwon hesitated for a moment, glancing back and forth between Sunghoon and Y/n. But then he nodded, and Sunghoon felt a surge of relief.

Together, they walked to the bus stop, leaving Y/n behind. Sunghoon could feel her eyes on them, but he didn't care. All that mattered was making sure that Jungwon was safe.

As they waited for the bus, Sunghoon could feel Jungwon's hand trembling in his. He squeezed it gently, trying to offer some comfort.

"Thanks," Jungwon whispered, his eyes downcast.

Sunghoon smiled at him. "Anytime," he said. "I'll always be here for you, Jungwon."

{In the bus}

Jungwon's heart was pounding as he and Sunghoon boarded the bus. He had always been a shy boy, and the thought of sitting next to anyone, let alone the beautiful Y/n, made him nervous.

As they made their way down the aisle, Y/n was right behind them, and Jungwon couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. He knew how mean she could be, and he didn't want to be on the receiving end of her sharp tongue.

Sure enough, as they reached the back of the bus, Y/n pushed past Sunghoon and took the seat next to Jungwon, grinning triumphantly. Sunghoon looked at Jungwon with disbelief, shaking his head at the audacity of Y/n.

Jungwon tried to shrink into his seat, hoping to avoid any confrontation with Y/n, but she had other plans. "Hey, Jungwon," she said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "I heard you're a pretty good student. Maybe you can tutor me sometime."

Jungwon looked up at her, surprised by her sudden change in tone. He couldn't help but feel a flicker of hope that maybe, just maybe, Y/n wasn't as mean as he thought.

But then she leaned in closer to him, her breath hot on his ear, and whispered, "Just kidding. You're such a loser, Jungwon. No one would ever want to be seen with you."

Jungwon felt his heart sink, and he looked down at his hands, trying to hide the tears that were threatening to spill from his eyes. Sunghoon put a comforting hand on his shoulder, glaring at Y/n as she laughed and turned away.

Jungwon knew that he would never be able to stand up to Y/n, but he vowed to himself that he wouldn't let her words get to him. He would keep his head down and focus on his studies, knowing that one day he would prove Y/n wrong and show her that he was worth more than she ever gave him credit for.
