When the lawyer left, another awkward silence passed between us.
“I’m tired. I want to sleep!”, he said then walked towards the bedroom.
“Wait! Vaughn! I thought we are going to talk? Kaya nga ako nandito, di ba?”, naguguluhang tanong ko sa kanya.
Ano ba itong lalaking ito? Pinapunta pa ako dito tapos tutulugan lang niya ako?
“No, it can wait in the morning! First, I need to sleep.”
“Pero bakit mo pa ako pinapunta dito?”
“So that we can talk in the morning.”
WHAAAAT? Baliw na nga yata ang lalaking ito!
“Ang gulo mo! Uuwi na ko!”, sigaw ko sa kanya.
“NO! STAY!”, sigaw niya sa akin.
Bigla naman akong kinabahan nang marinig ko ang boses niya. I never heard him shout before. He used to be calm and soft-spoken.
ANYARE? Kalma ka lang Cathe! Huwag kang magpasindak sa lalaking BIPOLAR na iyan!
“At saan naman ako matutulog, aber? Dito?”, kalmadong tanong ko sa kanya.
“Yup! You can sleep with me, malaki naman ang kama ko eh!”, nakakalokong sagot niya.
“You’re insane! I’m going home!”, iritadong sagot ko sa kanya.
“Go now and you’ll find your sister in that jail again.”, mariing banta niya sa akin.
“You can’t be serious! You can’t do that!”, sigaw ko sa kanya.
“Then just wait and see. I can do just that honey! Dare to try me?”, paghahamon niya sa akin.
Nagsukatan lang kami ng tingin but in the end, I just gave in. No choice na ako eh! Hawak niya ako sa leeg.
“Okay, you win! What do you want me to do?”, I said, succumbing to his power.
“Sleep with me, cherie!”, he said in his most seductive voice.
