You and Emerald were in ready positions. Waiting for the signal to charge. You were hiding in a tree. "(Y/N)..." Emerald whispered, "If I die today... I want you to know that I'm sorry I've been a bitch to you and... well everyone else."

"That's alright Emerald" You forgave her, "And if I were to die today... Tell Rin I love him." You said not looking at her. She was taken aback it was obvious, "I love Yukio. Tell him that when I'm gone."

The signal was whistled. Emerald and you leaped out of the tree and into the night sky. "Hey Emerald" you called, "Know any good fighting songs?"

We laughed and started dancing into the sky. Healing every lost soul. You knew what song it was so you two started to sing, Headstrong by Trapt, together. It eased the stress and adrenaline at the moment.

Perfect timing. As you two finished the song you reached the gate. Both of you were sweating and panting like crazy. No matter how many you took out more seemed to fill in it's place. You were up there but no signs of Yukio, Arthur, or Rin. You were confused.

Then this big light was hurdling towards you two. You moved out of the way just in time bringing Emerald with you. Rin, Yukio, and Arthur were leading the light. You were knocked down and started to free fall almost. You looked over your shoulder to see that your back was burnt and a wing was scratched up and burnt. You can't fly... you can't fly with one wing.

When I said you took Emerald with you... You actually grabbed her and protected her. You did a weird hug and turned your back on the powerful light... guess you didn't tuck in your wings all the way.

In thought you started thinking of your friends, family, and just life in general. It may not have been perfect, but you wouldn't trade it for anything.
