Unholy (Rain x Reader)

The Bitter End

    I'm dreaming I know I'm dreaming. Why can't I wake up. I don't want to keep seeing Rain and the other ghouls like this. I thought to myself as I saw I was laying in Rain's bed. He was just staring into nothing and I couldn't tell what he was thinking. Every now and then he would let out a shaky breath and his vision would go blurry but he would just blink it away.

     "Rain please come out you haven't been out of your room in a week!" The desperate voice of Swiss cried from behind the door.Rain didn't say anything. "Rain I swear to Lucifer I will break this door down if you don't come out here right now!" Rain just stayed there. He looked over at the door it wasn't locked so he would have a pretty easy time getting in. There was a rattling at the door then it burst open with Swiss falling inside. "I uh.. wasn't expecting it to be unlocked." Swiss tried to laugh off. Rain began to sit up as he looked at the multi ghoul that was now dusting himself off. "I didn't want to do it Rain."

   "I - I know."

   "And - and I didn't mean anything I told her that day she was taken. I- I was scared and I know that's not an excuse but he, Azalea threatened the entire church and even us!-"

   "I would've died for her." Rain sounded incredibly broken. Just defeated.

    "Rain it wouldn't of been just you dying for her. You know that right?"

   "I do..." He paused. "S- Swiss I - I want her back! I can't understand how I went my whole life without her. I love hanging out with her and and y- you told her differently! The last thing she heard from someone she considered a friend was that none of us like her! ...I- I love her! And you told her differently! Did she believe you?" He screamed. There were tears in his eyes as he slammed his fist onto the bed. He looked at Swiss who just looked down at him broken. He kept opening and closing his mouth trying to find something to say. "ANSWER ME! Please, please just answer me."

    "She did." He whispered looking down.

   "Get out." Rain' voice was breaking. Swiss didn't move.

   "Rain please. We are looking for he-!"

    "Get out!" Rain growled and Swiss walked out.

   The door was now shut so it was Rain alone in his room again. He was choking crying.

   "I- fuck.. please just come back     (Y/n)." He whimpered.

  
    I jumped out of my sleep. Looking around at the room.

   I need to get out of here. I thought to myself. I quickly and quietly got out of bed over to the window. The sun was barely shining in. My fingers grazed lightly over the window. It was on the second floor so it was pretty high off the ground however there was lattice along the side of the house so I could easily clime down. Only downside was that it was hella old so it would probably break so I had to be careful.

   To my surprise the window was open.

   Why didn't I try this before. I laughed to myself then quickly stopped when I realized a sound actually came out this time. I silently tried to lift the window open a bit more when the door opened. I cursed to myself before turning around to see Ella.

   "You're leaving? I don't blame you. You shouldn't be kept here anymore it's not good for you. Do you need help?" She asked softly. I shook my head no. "You can talk now you know." She giggled.

   "Um no I don't think I need help. Can you just make sure Azalea doesn't see?" I spoke softly still not used to having a voice.

   "Of course. Good luck , I'll miss you." She walked over and hugged me. "You remind me a lot of your father. He would've been so proud of you." Her voice was muffled in my neck.
