Kyra's POV
I sat on the lounge watching TV as my mother sat in the kitchen on her phone, "Mum, shouldn't dad be home by now?" I asked tearing my gaze away from the TV
"He'll be home soon." My mum replied not looking away from her phone, I sighed as I looked back at the TV
My mums phone started to ring, it was an unknown number.
"I'll be back sweetie." My mum said with a sigh before she walked into her bedroom to answer the phone
I heard parts of her conversation but not all of it, I grew worried after I started to hear loud sobs, I stood up and walked into my mums room, my face fell when I noticed my mothers tear stained eyes and her hand over her mouth in shock, my mum slowly pulled her phone away from her ear and hung up, without saying a word she fell to the ground and began to cry louder, I quickly ran to her side and gave her a big hug
"Mum, what happened?" I asked as tears started to fill my eyes, I hate seeing my mum cry
"It's your father..." My mum sobbed "He got into a car accident, he didn't make it." Now it was my turn to cry, I don't know what I expected but it definitely wasn't that
We didn't know what to do, so we just sat there and cried until we had no tears left the cry.
