" I love you more. "

OLIVIA DIDN'T TELL THE PEVENSIES anything about what the centaurs had observed. And she instructed them not to tell anybody else. They all had much to deal with, and so Olivia preferred not to bother any of them with predictions.

The girl preferred to ignore it too, and threw herself into work and politics and royalty. She also decided to place her life together in the best way she could. Edmund and Olivia were closer than ever, they would sneak away from the castle and spend some time just them both. It was practising, horse riding, picnics, dates.

Instead of being bummed about the news that she might die, Olivia decided to take it as a hint to get her life together, and she had never been happier. She and Edmund loved each other more and more as the days passed. Olivia and Lucy now had their very own garden, filled with tulips and roses and the most beautiful flowers and plants. Peter and Olivia had managed to deal with the issue involving the kingdom of Ettinsmoor in the north. Susan and Olivia started to plan the balls together, and they had a lot of fun in each other's company.

If the lord of finality had given Olivia a fate that she could not escape, she might as well leave with a clean consciousness, a happy soul and a clear mind.

But then, on the fifth of October, everything got even better than she had imagined.

Edmund and Olivia were riding on their horses, heading towards the open field near the lake of the Western woods. Edmund said he had a surprise for Olivia. The girl first thought it was a picnic, but then he had brought no food or basket. It was just them and the horses.

" What kind of surprise is this? " - Asked the girl.

" The secret kind. " - Edmund laughed and Olivia frowned. She couldn't help her curiosity, and she wanted to go on and on asking questions until Edmund gave up. But she didn't want to bug him more than she already did.

" Love? " - Edmund came to her side and said. The girl looked at him, with his bright and radiant smile. - " We're here. " - Olivia was so distracted in her thoughts, thinking about what the surprise could be, she hadn't even realised that they had arrived.

Edmund helped the girl off her saddle, and then grabbed her hand and kissed it's back.

They started walking, and eventually got away from the horses. They watched the beautiful sight of the ford of Beruna, the water of the river rush, they even came across a family of foxes, who greeted them eagerly.

" Edmund. " - She said lowly, for he could hear her well since she was by his side.

" Hm? " - He said as he dazed out of his thoughts.

" You seem distracted today. What's wrong? "

" Nothing's wrong. " - He smiled, but it wasn't very convincing.

" Ed. " - She said, narrowing her eyes at him.

And then, he came to a stop. Edmund looked at the beauty of Narnia by his side, and then at Olivia, the dashing girl that he dreamed about every night, the girl who he loved with all his might.

Edmund looked at both her hands, and kissed her forehead then. She smiled, and Edmund felt all the nervousness leave his body as he saw that beautiful smile that gave Edmund motivation to wake up everyday.

Edmund moved his hand to his pocket, and Olivia noticed the small mark of a box in there. She could see the Pevensie boy shaking, and she smiled at him.

She grabbed his hand, and he looked up at her. Olivia kissed his cheek, as she saw his clear nervousness about what he was about to do.

" I love you. " - she muttered.

" I love you more. " - He whispered and rested his forehead against hers.

" I-um, " - Edmund had a speech prepared. Peter had helped his brother decorate it, but now, the younger Pevensie boy seemed to have forgotten all the words. He signed, and smiled.

He looked at the girl smiling in front of him. The girl that supported him. The girl that he loved and that he wanted to spend every hour of every day with. The girl so full of life, and love, and laughter. She was his everything.

Edmund took a deep breath, and decided to speak from the heart.

" When I say I love you more than anything, I mean literally. You consume me, Olivia. You are the person I want to spend every night and day with. I want to have you by my side for as long as I breathe. I can't imagine a life without you, without your smile, your dorky puns and sarcastic comments, the sound of your laughter and your kisses. I love everything about you, every bone in your body. I would do anything for you. I would kill the world just to see you smile. "

Olivia felt like she was in bliss. She loved him more than anything. Everything reminded of him. His laughter was music to her ears, his smirks and grins made her smile. His happiness meant her happiness. All that she wanted was him. His body and soul.

Edmund kissed her forehead, and then got down to one knee. He grabbed the small box from his pocket, and revealed a ring. It was a golden ring with a delicate structure, and a sapphire gem in the middle. It was the perfect ring. Olivia felt her hand tap her mouth, and a happy tear escaped her eye.

" Olivia Kirke Olmore, the love of my life, the great queen of Narnia, the most beautiful woman to ever live, will you marry me? "

" Yes. " - She whispered. But it was loud enough for him to hear, and Edmund felt like the happiest man in the world. He felt complete. - " Yes! " - She beamed, giggling and smiling.

Edmund smiled, and got up. He gently offered his hand, and Olivia placed it on top of his. The boy placed the ring on the fourth finger of her left hand. He gently moved his hand to her cheek, and the other to her waist, and slowly kissed her lips.

Olivia felt her smile, her happiness as she kissed him back in a slow and soft kiss. She could feel the sun hitting her face as dusk was nearing.

" if you don't like the ring- " - Edmund began, but Olivia cut him off.

" It's perfect, Thank you. And I would have married you even if you had only a piece of wool. " - She smiled.

" Now, let's go home. "
