OH! you're surprised, I bet you expected me to stay right where you left me, lonely and broken by your words,
But you see me smiling like I have no problem of my own and that baffles you,
Because I've chosen to live like I have several gold mines in my backyard and that makes you uneasy,
That even with knowing how hard I know you try, I chose not to stay battered because I know that makes you mad,
But don't be too surprised love because that was always the plan.
