We've cried for those we lost, we still cry for those we haven't because our hearts break in several ways,
And time they said would make us cry less, but what do we do when it doesn't?,
When time itself keeps all the pain we feel fresh and unsolved?, try again they said and we do, believing we could play a trick on time,
But it gets us each fucking time and while they sit and wear their desperation with pride, they look at us and say,
Try again, maybe this time you'll get it.

I've heard the saying a lot, that time heals all wounds but I don't think it does, not all wounds and maybe for other people it does but not for me,
It only reminds me of all the hurt I've felt and scars I can't boast about and ones I never asked for,
But hey, I guess that's life.
