"Have a good night Dr. Gillyard," the security guard said as he held the door open for her.

"Good night Alfred," Mia said as she stepped into the night.

"Would you like me to walk you to your car, Dr.?" Alfred asked as he looked around. "It's awfully late."

"Thank you, Alfred," She smiled as she pulled her car keys out.

"I can do it." Both looked up to see Owen walking towards them while straightening his tie.

"Mr. Blackbourne," they said at the same time.

"Thank you but I can walk her," Owen said extending his hand to Alfred.

Owen stood and watched patiently as they talked. "Good night." She turned to face Owen and he extended his arm for her to take. She looped her hand through and once they were out of Alfred's sight, she pulled her hand away. "What are you doing here, Mr. Blackbourne? How did you know when I got off work? Are you stalking me?"

"I've been here since the office closed at 8pm," he admitted. "I figured you would work late, and I wanted to see you."

"So stalking," she said as she unlocked her car. She tossed her purse in and sighed, "what do you want Mr. Blackbourne? I told you I don't know if I can go back to a relationship just yet."

"I know," he nodded.

"Excuse me," she sighed as her phone rang. "Dr. Gillyard speaking."

"Dr. Gillyard, this is Judge Henderson," she looked up at Owen shocked who just looked back at her in confusion and shook his head. She put the phone on speaker. "I wanted to call and inform you that Karen Blackbourne was arrested ten minutes ago. Do you happen to know where the Blackbourne Toma men are at the moment?"

"I'm sorry, what?" She asked confused.

"Yes Ma'am. She was arrested ten minutes ago for attempting to harass their security guard and get onto their property. She made threats against the guard and you. The security guard called police and she was arrested for trespassing and harassment. I have not contacted the Blackbourne Toma men yet, I wanted to contact you first to make sure you are okay and let you know. Do you know where the group is or would you like for me to notify them?"

"I um," She cleared her throat, "I know where Mr. Blackbourne is, I will let him know." She cleared her throat again, "thank you Your Honor for letting me know."

"You are welcome," he said, "She will be locked up for a very long time and I am revoking her bail so you have nothing to worry about."

"Thank you," she said closing her eyes and leaning against her car. "I appreciate this."

"Have a good rest of your night, Doctor," Judge Henderson said hanging up.

"I need to—"

"Go home, Mr. Blackbourne," Mia said sighing. "Go home and check on your family."

"You're my family too," he said taking a step to her.

"No," She shook her head and opened her eyes to look at him. He remained where he stood. "Go home, Owen. Be with your family. I'm just going home and going to bed. I'm not the best company right now."

"You missed breakfast and sent back the lunch I ordered for you," he frowned, "Can I please order you some dinner, so I know you have something in your system besides energy drinks and soda?"

She sighed, "Only because that means I don't have to think to cook," she pointed her finger at him.

He nodded, "I'll accept that, thank you."

"I'm staying at my grandmother's," she said softly.

"Okay," he said adjusting his jacket. "If you need anything—"

"I'll think about it," she interrupted then sighed, "I need to go."

"Will you please let me know when you get home, so I know you got there safely since it's so late and you are tired? Please?"

"Okay," She sighed, "good night, Mr. Blackbourne."

"Good night, Mia," he said watching her get into her car then drive off.

By the time she got to her grandmother's house she was so exhausted mentally and physically she just wanted to crawl into bed and crash. Plopping down on the couch, she pulled out her phone and opened the texts.

Way 2 tired 2 eat going bed on couch. No send food.

She hit send then closed her eyes. Just as she was drifting into a deep sleep, she was startled awake with knocking on the door. Falling off the couch she cursed and groaned as she headed to the door. "Owen?" She asked shocked to see him standing on her porch.

"You need to eat," he said making her notice the bag in his hand. "Can I come in?"

"Too tired, Owen," she whined as she stepped to the side. "Go to bed."

"You haven't ate all day," he said gently as he led her back to the couch after locking the door behind him. "You need food."

"Need seep," she pouted as she dropped onto the couch.

"How about a compromise?" He asked trying to tread carefully. "Show me your room and you can eat in bed so once you're done you can go to bed?"

"Too tired, Daddy," she whined. "Far way."

"I'll carry you, Darling," he gave her his special millimeter smile. "Just tell Daddy where it is."

"Upstairs," she yawned then nestled her head in the crook of his neck as he scooped her up. He opened each door until he found her room and sat her on the bed. "Stay awake just a little bit longer," he said as he opened her dresser and smiled seeing his shirts. He grabbed one and changed her then opened the food. "Open," he coaxed as he held out the taco.

Once she ate he scooted her down until she was laying down then covered her up. Finding her makeup remover wipes in the bathroom he wiped her face then kissed her forehead, "Good night, Darling."

"Seepy Daddy," She mumbled pulling on his hand. "Bedtime."

He quickly stripped to his boxers then got in bed behind her. Wrapping his arm around her, she sighed happily as she scooted back against him. "Sleep Darling, I have you."

"No work morrow," She mumbled rolling over. He laid on his back and she rested her head on his chest.

"Okay," he mumbled as he ran his fingers through her hair. "Sleep. I'll be here in the morning."

She tightened her hold on him and whispered just before sleep overtook her again, "Good."
