Chapter 8

Atsushi's eyes started to move under his lids,
and feeling Deja Vu he is, he opened his eyes
only to find your face a few inches from him. His
breath hitched, on instinct he jumped to the
corner of the bed, startled by the closeness of
your face.

"Eh?, your finally awake brat!" You stand straight back and sit next to kunikida who was reading his notebook upside down with his glasses on top of his head which you lied you didn't see it when he asked you about it. Not that you are gonna tell
him though.

"I see you've come to, brat." Kunikida said,
Atsushi shifted his attention to him.

"Kunikida-san.."

"Damn, i cant believe you pulled this during
such a busy time." Kunikida complained.

"I-i was.. attacked by the Mafia.." Atsushi
trailed of, trying to recall his memory, when he
remember something his eyes widened, "Y/n-
san, Kunikida-san, where are Tanizaki-san and
Naomi-san?!" He yelled in panic.

"Calm down brat, they are both okay" You reassure him which calmed down the grey haired boy a little.

"Are you.. sure?" He doubted.

"Yes. Dr Yosano is treating Tanizaki right now
next door." As Kunikida said that, a scream
obviously from Tanizaki echoing from the next
room. Atsushi sweatdropped and backed away
in fear from just hearing the horrific scream.

You just chuckled from Atsushi's reaction for this
is the first time he witnessed it.

"That's.. treatment?" He questioned quietly.

"I heard, brat. You have a seven billion yen
bounty on your head on the black market"
Kunikda spoke.

"What?"

"Seven billion, huh? You've moved up in the
world" You thought out loud, "No wonder the
Port Mafia are keen to get their hands on you"

"Seven billion? I see" He said unaware about
what he just heard, staring at the wall trying to
process the information he just received.

"W- wh-what should I do? The Mafia might
launch a raid on the Agency.. But why me?" He
panicked.

You disappeared from your spot, flicking his forehead making him wince and rub his head. You then reappeared back in your spot with your arms crossed.

"Dont worry brat." You told him.

"The Port Mafia are certainly violent to the
extreme, but keep your cool.. Losing your cool
can kill even the most skilled. That's what my
mentor would tell me" Kunikida flipped page of
his upside down notebook, acting like he is not
the one who losing his cool.

"Um.. it's upside down, your notebook.
Atsushi hesitatedly said.

Kunikida glared at Atsushi while fixing his
notebook to the right position.

"Y/n, did you already noticed my notebook
upside down?" Kunikida asked you, not lifting
his gaze to meet yours. A shadow casting over
his upper face.

You grin, slowly turning your head to him.

"No? I never lie" You lied.

"Are you sure you didn't lie?" He asked again.

"Yep!" You closed your eyes with a grin.

"I see.." He said, slowly getting up from beside you, putting one of his hand in his pocket and made his way near Atsushi.

"I haven't lost my cool!" He suddenly yelled into
the poor boy face, "I'm not going to panic over
the Mafia! I'd beat them back, even if they
attacked this very second! I'll go like this, and
this!" He yelled and started to punch nothing in
front of him. You wheezed from his usual
behavior when something bad gonna happen to
agency.
