(Third Person POV)
"I need to find a place to stash you guys. Safe"
Clint tells the girls, annoyed that he's missing his Christmas.
"Stash us? We're not money bags"
Y/N says in an offended tone.
"No, you're not. Money would be useful to me"
The man says, looking away the girls.
"We actually do have a place a few blocks away.
Would a bunch of money know a place?"
Kate asks teasingly, defensive of herself and her girlfriend.
Clint stares forward, looking at the cashier.
Kate and Y/N lead the way to the apartment, hand in hand as Clint follows them with the bag of supplies.
When they get there, Kate lets go of Y/N's hand to step forward.
She presses all the buttons before someone presses the buzzer.
"Hello?"
"Yeah, hi we got pizza"
"What?"
"Piz-pizza, Uh huh, yep, piz-"
The door unlocks as Kate looks behind her to shrug at her girlfriend and idol.
They shrug back before following Kate to the door of the apartment.
"Not a fortress, but it'll be fine"
Clint mumbles.
Y/N looks at him.
"It's Kate's aunts place, she's in Florida"
Kate nods before looking at Y/N.
"Babe, can you hold this?"
Y/N nods before taking Kate's bow from her hand.
Kate pulls out a key before unlocking the door and walking into the apartment, the others following suite.
"Are there cats in here?"
Kate shakes her head at Clint's question.
"Just cat hair"
She says, annoyed.
Clint nods.
"You need to clean your wounds with soap and disinfect them. I'm going to your apartment to get the suit"
Clint looks at the girls.
"Yeah, Clint, you can go in our apartment. Don't you need our keys?"
Kate asks, annoyed.
"Nope"
He says before closing the door.
Kate looks at Y/N who just shrugs before leaning in for a kiss.
"I love you"
Kate says as Y/N pulls away.
Y/N smiles before kissing her cheek.
"I love you too"
She says as she leans into Kate.
Kate leads her to the couch before letting her girlfriend lay her head in her lap.
She runs her hands through the strands of her hair as the girl dozes off.
Kate's phone rings as her girlfriend snores lightly.
She answers the phone quickly so it doesn't disturb her girlfriend.
"Hey, Mom"
Kate whispers.
"Kate! Where were you? We were so worried!"
Her mom says through the speaker.
"I went out the back"
Kate whispers again.
"Why are you whispering?"
"Y/N's asleep"
The door opens to show Clint.
"Hey"
Kate and Clint greet each other before Kate goes back to her phone.
"Well, I can't blame her. That was crazy! A black market auction?!"
"I gotta go, I love you"
Kate says, staring at her phone.
"I love you too"
Eleanor says through the phone before hanging up.
"When did everyone start saying I love you to everyone?"
Clint asks in an annoyed tone.
"That was my mom. When did your heart shrink?"
Kate says, moving Y/N's head onto a cushion before standing up and holding a pizza to her head.
"When a girl in an ninja costume stole my Christmas"
Clint tells her, obviously.
Kate looks away, looking guilty.
"When did she fall asleep?"
He asks, nodding towards Y/N.
"About an hour after you left, she's had a hard day so I'm just letting her sleep it off"
"And what's with the pizza?"
He motions towards her head.
"I'm multitasking. It reduces swelling and thaws out pizza dogs breakfast"
She says before sitting in front of him.
"Is that his name?"
"He doesn't have a name. It'a like a title of nobility. Like earl of sandwich"
Kate smiles.
"Did you clean your wound?"
He asks, cleaning his own.
"It kinda hurts, but it's alright"
She mumbles.
"Shit"
Clint says to himself as he looks at Kate's wound.
"You did it wrong"
He mumbles, standing up to fix it.
Kate winces as he peels it off and cleans her wound.
"You want these to go perpendicular to it"
He says, putting the tape back on her clean wound.
"How's our place?"
Kate asks.
Clint looks at Y/N who was just sitting up.
"Crispy"
He says, turning back to Kate.
Y/N walks over to Kate, sitting on her lap and putting her face in her neck.
"Hey babe"
Kate says, smiling as she wraps her arms around her girlfriend.
Y/N mumbles something in return before hugging her girlfriend tighter.
"Did you get the suit?"
Kate asks, looking over Y/N's shoulder.
Clint shakes his head.
"You have a lead, don't you?"
"What makes you think I do?"
Kate just sighs and looks away.
Clint walks over to a pad of paper.
"What's this?"
Y/N walked over to see as well.
"I started describing some of the tracksuits"
"You're not an art major, are you?"
"Why's his face so round, babe?"
Y/N giggles out.
"Okay"
Kate sighs, embarrassed.
"I would offer to buy you a hotel, because from some angles, this seems like my fault, but my mom cancelled my credit cards because of the tower problem"
Kate stands up, walking around.
"I'm just gonna be a few minutes"
He sighs.
"Thanks for all this"
She says before walking to the bedroom.
"You coming, babe?"
She looks at Y/N.
"Yeah, I'll be there in a minute"
She smiles at her girlfriend who walks to the bedroom.
"You know she feels guilty about all of this. You don't have to be so hard on her"
Y/N glares at Clint before walking to the bedroom with her girlfriend.
Clint sits on the chair, sighing as he searches for information on the NYC LARPERS.
He sees an Instagram video with the suit on the front of it.
He messages his daughter saying he will be back soon before turning off his phone.
He pets pizza dog, leaning back in his chair before going back to his hotel.
I feel like this chapter is so cute!
