The next morning i woke up and saw i was cuddled up with jacob i blushed i then saw maisie awake then i saw a blue creature come out the bag then it ran out of the shell i saw maisie stand up i tried to but jacob still had a strong grib on me so i decided to stay cus i don't want him to wake up i like the feeling of his arms around me
I then felt him wake up he saw his arms around me
"I-im so sorry y/n"
"What not it's fine it's fine oh and maisie ran after a blure creature"
He looked at me the grabbed the spear and grabbed my hand and wlaked out to find maisie we saw holding the creature
"What are you doing?"
"I..uh i'm afraid i saw will upset you"
"You're probably right just don't move"
He then gave me his spear and slowley made his way to maisie trying not to to break the eggs
"I'm sorry but i'v always wanted a pet"
"That's not a pet it's a monster and we're not keeping it"
"But i already named it"
"Let me geuss....blue"
She groaned
"You named that one red you named this one blue we stay much longer and we'll have a rainbowof critters that wanna eat us"
"But he's so cute look at this face"
"Aww it is cute"
"You two and i have a different idea of cute"
He then took the creature and threw it i gasped so did maisie he picked up saying how he'll get her a cat
"You're too young to be this mean"
"And You're too old to be giving in to childish temptations"
"Everybody has pets jacob"
"See y/n agrees"
He then told us that we shouldn't get a pet who can lay eggs in our mouths then hatch then burst out of our chest cavity
"That is so specific"
"I have seen some things,all right the point is we don't don't know what he'd do we don't know anything about this island except we've got to get off it,by thunder"
"Jacob look ou-!"
Before i could finish he laready stepped on it he backed awya then kept stepping on them they then hatched then they started to roar
"Best be going"
I asked
We then ran to boat jacob having the supplies and me havung the spear but the creature catched up and tackeld us
"Maybe they're bonded to us like geese"
"It's the mother goose im worried about"
Then we heard wood breaking then the mom came out
"There she is come on, lass"
The baby's ran to thier mother and we ran to our boat i started to help javob pull the boat so did maisie but she fell we heard the mother coming closer we finally got it in the water and climbed into it i then heard a baby squick then maisie threw it to the mother jacob walked over to masie
"Hmm"
He growled in anger she chuckled nervously
"Hold the rudder"
He then sat down
"If we can make it to rum pepper island we'll be able to flag a ship the dregmorr is thick with monsters but don't worry if there'sone of them things within a mile of us i'll sense it"
He then turned around and saw a sea beast
"May be a little off my game here"
Time-skip (sorry i don't wanna write that scene 😅)
I quivkly helped maisie out the water
"Now who ways says that creature is not cute"
Jacob rolled his eyes with a smiled then saw the hole in the boat
"We have to go back"
"We'll never make it!"
"Depends on how fast you can bail"
Then he gaver her a bucket and he railed i looked around and saw red
"Maybe red can take us!"
"Back to the island?"
"No!back home!"
"You have really lost it"
"She saved us from that thing didn't she?"
"Wait...she...are you i think i did the saving right?"
"You both did exactly"
He looked at me
"But...i-i-i..hey!get back to bailing the waters coming in!"
"Hey!red!"
Red turned around
"See rgis little guy?this is you"
"You're wasting your time"
"Oh come on let the girl try"
He rolled his eyes stil railing
"And this is me and this is him "
she then tried to pick up another but i grabbed it and said
"And this is me"
Maisie looked at me smiling
"Are you two putting on a puppet show?we're sinking here"
"We need to get over there and me and her wonder if you might be good enough to take us?"
Rwd looked where we maisie was pointing then she went under the water
"Well was worth a shot"
"Well if she does understand ya she don't wanna help bright side? She didn't eat ya now get bailing"
Then i heard wailing and saw we were picked up by red i laughed
"I told you she was more than a beast!"
I smiled as she ran and triped and fell on red she laughed
"Woo!"
"Now that's a sight"
I said crossing my arms smiling
