Ajinke's POV;

I and the prince are about to leave when a guard rushes down and says to the others.

"There's trouble! Master Muyiwa has been murdered! "He announces, and my heart falls.

"What!? "I question in alarm looking up at the guard.

How could the king do this??  I thought he said he wouldn't kill Muyiwa. Why then would he do such a thing!?

"My prince, I'd be back. Please, give me a minute... "I say to the prince before turning around and rushing up the stairs in horror.

I run over to Muyiwa's room and find the king standing before its opened door with some guards in the room.

"Why did you do this?? You told me that you won't kill him! "I exclaim as I rush into the room and find Muyiwa's body laying dishonorably on the floor.

He is dressed in his groom's attire, but his cloth has turned dark with blood. He looks like he was stabbed continuously to death.

"I didn't do anything to him. I just got here and found him like this. I have no idea what happened.  "The king replies, and I stare in confusion as I see the sincerity in his eyes...

"Then who killed him?? "I question in shaken fear, and a familiar voice replies from behind me.

"I did. "

I turn around, and my heart falls when my gaze lands on Ayobami. She killed him? When? Why? How? For what??

"What?? You killed him? Why?? "I question, and she falls silent.

Ayobami's POV;

Kayode and I walked into Muyiwa's room and found him getting ready for the wedding. He looked up on seeing us both in his room, and I chose to gather the courage to speak.

"Good morning, master. There's... I have come to tell you something. "I said, and he continued doing what he was doing.

"Speak. I'm listening. "He replied as he put on his royal beads.

"Master... You... You can't get married to princess Ajinke..."I spoke, and he froze.

"Because I'm... Carrying your child... "I quickly added, and he turned around to face me.

I'm not pregnant for him. I just wanted him to remember that he defiled me, and I wanted to scare him out of marrying the poor princess.
At least that would give Kayode and I enough time to plan how to break the prince out, and how to help the princess escape with her one true love.

However, Muyiwa suddenly started laughing, and almost fell on the bed behind him.

"You're pregnant? So, just because I laid with you once! You're pregnant? That night was so horrible, and your performance was even worst. And although I managed you, you're now here, telling me that you're pregnant!? "He replied amidst laughter, and color drained from my face as I looked up at him.

I turned to Kayode in horror to cross-check if he also heard what I heard, and the look on his face said it all. I didn't hear wrong.

"You... You remember that night? "I questioned in awe, and he laughed harder.

"Of course, I remember. Why would I forget? It is the worst night I have ever spent with any woman."He replied, and my heart almost failed me.

" Listen. I don't care if that thing growing in your womb is mine, or not.
But if it's going to stand in the way of my marriage to Ajinke, I suggest you do away with it.
Otherwise, it might cost you your life. "He added, and my vision crossed in disbelief.

He remembers?? He remembers raping and dishonoring me?? He remembers how brutally he violated me, and has only been acting like he didn't, cause I meant nothing to him??

"You remember! "I screamed in growing anger, and he only chuckled while tears built in my eyes.

"You ruined my life! Stole my pride! Dishonored me, and you're laughing? "I screamed further in pain, and he rolled his eyes.

"Oh, stop this drama. I didn't dishonor you. I gave you something to brag about. A nobody like you got to lay with me! Do you know how many girls out there wish for the same thing? "He replied, and I froze in horror.

"But I'm not one of them! I begged you to spare me. My virginity was the only thing of pride I had left! "I cried as tears began to run down my face, but he simply stared at me like I was some piece of shit.

"Get out, please... "He said with no emotions at all in his words or eyes, and this caused anger to consume me whole.

A monster like him doesn't deserve to marry princess Ajinke. In fact, he doesn't deserve to live!

With reflexes so fast, I never believe I had, I dragged Kayodes dagger out of its pouch and rushed over to Muyiwa.

Stabbing him continuously in the chest as memories of that horrid night clouded my vision and reasoning.
Muyiwa fell to the ground, bleeding badly, but I didn't stop until Kayode lifted me off him, and dragged me away.

"Stop it. He's dead... "He said into my ear, and I stopped struggling in his grip, before breaking down in tears. I'm silently grateful that he didn't stop me from killing the horrible beast. He deserved to die.

Third Persons Narrative;
