We had a great week on holiday seeing all the sights and romantic views wishing we could be like this for the rest of our lives, but when we arrived at the topgun base we had some unsettling news.
"Hey guys" Maverick said welcoming us although he looked tired and weak
"Mav you ok?" Goose said putting down the suitcases,
"I am but Charlotte, ever since Amy she's been pale and the doctor came today and said she only has a week left"
I felt my eyes go blurry with tears and hugged maverick tightly "it's ok Mav we've got you"
Goose looked sad and joined in on the hug. The next morning I made sure to visit her while Goose was on training, I pushed the door open slightly to see Amy crying and Charlie unconscious,
"MAVERICK!" I shouted, I held Amy and rocked her in my arms
"Shh! Amy it's going to be ok!" I said softly swaying her in my arms,
"What?! I heard you-" Maverick rushed in "CHARLIE!" He ran to her holding her pale hand "Charlie wake up"
Goose ran in panting "oh Maverick.." he said putting his hand on his shoulder while Mav sobbed hysterically,
"Well done with Amy Hun, we'll get Maverick and Charlotte sorted and we can take amy for as long as Mav needs" goose said looking at me, he walked over and hugged me tight.
That night Maverick had gone to hospital with Charlie and we were told to stay at base, we both lay with eachother speechless holding eachother, waiting for someone to say something "Hunny you did so well" I said kissing him
"Thank you, once we have Charlie better again im sure everything will be ok." He replied, I just hoped everything would be okay because I wanted life back to how it was before.
