Almost; adverb
It didn't happen, but it nearly did
It's the saddest word yet
That I heard, and experienced.
I almost stayed and waited
He almost told me
I almost went to him
He almost came back
I almost told him
He almost did, I almost did.
What truly happened was that
I left, I lost patience, and I got tired
And that's when we told each other
He didn't come back when he wanted to
And I took it as a sign but I said it's the last straw
He threw it away and for the sake of cruel love
So here I am; writing Almost, God's flaw.
