I'm sat at the dinner table with everyone else as Mike goes on and on about fresh start Day.
"Right, after all the trouble we've had recently, today is going to be fresh start Day" He says, holding up two cans of paint. "Because, of course we're all about moving forward, aren't we"
Then he goes off on a tangent about life and facing forwards, but to be honest, I have no idea what he's saying because I make eye contact with Liam as he walks into the room and sits next to Frank.
"What Mike is actually tryna say is, you can all paint your own rooms" Gina explains excitedly, handing people paint brushes.
"Jeff doesn't want a change" Harry says.
"Yeah, my room's already a work of art" Sapphire brags. I can't really blame her, her room is definitely far superior to any of ours.
"Mike, do we have any stripy paint?" Tee suddenly asks and I definitely feel my life flash before my eyes.
"Excuse me?!" I shout but no one pays any attention to me of course.
"Ah, I see what you did there" Mike smiles.
"Tee, we're not painting our room stripy" I stand up, staring at Tee in horror from across the table.
"Yes we are" She simply smiles.
"No, it's my room too, it's not just your choice"
"Careful Kyle, you don't wanna sound like a 7 year old" I hear Liam say from behind me. I have to take a deep breath before turning around.
"Shut up Lucy, I never asked for your opinion" I say trying desperately to keep my gaze level with his eyes rather than his lips, which has proven to be extremely difficult.
I instantly regret stealing a glance at his lips when a smirk spreads on his face and I'm almost 100 percent sure he noticed. I feel my face burn red and turn around to finish my conversation with Tee, but see that she's disappeared, along with the red and green paints.
"Oh my god!" I shout. "She's gonna ruin our room" I start running out the room and hear Gina shout after me, something about not running inside, but I'm in too much of a rush to acknowledge this.

Barely 5 minutes later, Liam sticks his head into me and Tee's room, interrupting our very heated argument about stripy paint.
"We're all gonna take some stuff from Toby's room, you guys coming?" He asks.
"Sure" I shrug before turning to Tee. "This conversation is not over"
We all go into Toby's room and see that all his stuff is still there, except his comics which I assume he just took with him.
